I came here with a large group and I have to say it was just ok. Â They wouldn't seat us until the people ahead of us were seated, even though our table was prepped and ready. Â The service took FOREVER (although I know we were a larger group and this seems like a place that is still getting its systems down) and my food was essentially a giant crock of grease with potatoes, eggs, and bacon in it. Â The coffee was great, the server was sassy, the prices were cheap, but I prefer Uptown Kitchen.
PS: if you happen you order the stuffed french toast, it will contain an entire jar of nutella. Â Fair warning.
I had a great breakfast at Bakin' and Eggs. We walked over here when nearby Uptown Cafe was insanely crowded. The food was delicious and reasonably priced for the large portion sizes. I ordered the BLT with a side salad and it was really good. The service was good, too. We had a large party and our waitress kept the show running smoothly with a smile on her face.
My only complaint was that the hostess refused to seat us until the party ahead of us was seated, even though our table was set and ready for us.
The best egg white omelet I've had in a long time and I order them everywhere. Â Often they just come white but this one was beautifully browned. Â I asked for crispy hash browns and got them crispy! And it all came piping hot..the best. Â Also the decor/atmosphere is much improved from the last tenant in that spot.
