Ordered a Pork Platter and a Chicken Platter. I don't eat pork so not sure about my review. It tasted good. Was very moist and soft. Both platters came with 2 huge slices of garlic bread and 2 sides of your choice. The sides were also very fresh and delicious. The chicken had a lot of flavor to it but somehow was little chewy and tough. Since i ordered the platter, i was expecting half chicken ( breast thigh and drumstick). Instead i was served just a breast with wings. Realized that after stepping out of the restaurant.  very clean restroom. Loved the decor and the service. Overall a good experience. Wouldn't mind going back again.

Full disclosure, I ran into the owner of Bandana's at a social function the other day. I told him I did not enjoy my previous experience at his restaurant and he gave me a card to get a free lunch. My updated review is based on that free lunch.

Last time I went for dinner and the place was empty. This time I went for lunch and there was a decent crowd. It also smelled amazing.

I ordered the rib plate, with baked beans and potato salad. My coworker ordered the sausage with green beans and baked beans. Both our meals came with garlic bread.

The ribs this time were great. Not dry, easily came off the bone and had good flavor. I used the sauces and found the spicy sauce to be the best this time.

The sausage was also good. A bit greasy, but good flavor.

The star of the show was the garlic bread though. Soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside and nice and garlicy.

The green beans were still from a can and not very good. The baked beans had a kind of metallic taste to them that was slightly off putting. I did like the potato salad.

Service was friendly and quick. Almost no waiting. Water was kept full.

One other nice thing is that the menu lists the calories of everything. Because of that I know my lunch was around 1200 calories. So I won't be coming here often, but will stop in when I want a quick, affordable bbq fix. I saw some dessert come out for another table that looked amazing. Not sure how that other table had room for dessert, but would love to try it sometime when I'm not so stuffed.

I am writing this review EXCLUSIVELY on my catering experience.  I went to Bandanas whne they first opened and was unimpressed.  I know they are under new ownership

    The catering.

Well, it was good.  It was hot, it was fresh, and it was delivered on time.

I don't know the cost, as I didn't pay, but there was plenty of food for our group and it was all good.  My husband said their ribs were meh, but the turkey I had was good.

We just ate here over the weekend.  It has been about a year since we were at Bandanas.  New menu, had a couple of new items.  The server did well and was prompt to greet us and bring us our food.   I thought the pulled pork sanwhich was good along with the baked potato.  We both ate for about $20.  I would say the food was pretty good, maybe not quite as good as Famous Dave's, another BBQ place here in Bloomington/Normal.

It's always tough to go and eat BBQ when you make your own.  Pulled pork was best part of our sampler meal; brisket was 2nd; didn't like the ribs at all.

Pretty standard BBQ place. Not great but not bad either. The portions for lunch could be a little bigger for the price. The wait staff is always very nice and attentive. I really want to like this place but just cannot get past that they do not have corn bread but instead give you garlic bread which is basically soaked in butter. Pretty good for the first two bites but I cannot finish it because of the butter.

If you want super cheap bbq, then here's your place.  Super cheesy inside and not the best service.  The chicken nachos are tasty and enough for a meal.  Go light on the bbq so your chips are crispy.  Garlic bread is good too. Sweet and smoky is the best sauce or chicago style.  So if you want a cheap meal go here but expect to not have good service!

This place rivals Rudy's down in Albuquerque for the best damn BBQ I have ever ate. Service is great and the food, THE FOOD was just out of this world. I had the full rack of ribs. They used this rub that was just phenomenal. The potato salad was soooo good. This place is worth going back to time and time again.

Awesome BBQ!  Their BBQ nacho appetizer is excellent. Filling portions, even at lunch.  BBQ has authentic smoked taste to it, and there are five different BBQ sauces to choose from.  Very kid friendly, wait staff is very attentive to our needs, and they always kept our drinks full.

Kids get bandanas and suckers at the end of the visit, which mine always look forward to!
