Bar Louie

I have to say, I wasn't actually looking forward to Bar Louie as the chosen Father's Day restaurant. I figured I was gonna be stuck with some crappy bar food, but I had a flatbread and it was actually pretty good! I'm pretty sure I had one with chicken and a salsa verde.

Not to mention I was able to get a killer cocktail. It was called Ramblin' Rose, Hendrick's and St. Germain?! Doesn't get much better for me.

Our server was pretty good. The over all experience definitely surprised me.

Is it me or do all the bartenders look like they worked at A&F back in their high school days?

Drinking at Bar Louis is like deja vu.  Ever.Single.Time.  I can't hate it because I obviously can't stay away, but that doesn't mean I love it either.  I've started more nights with a BL's happy hour than I'd care to admit.  I'm a slut for a $5 martini.

It's like the downtown one in decor but not clientele. Hard to describe the clientele...like every random tradeshow was in town and each company's employees came here for dinner.
So we just had stopped in for a drink. I asked if anything was on special..yes, effen vodka for $4. Great ill have that. They really were adamant about needing a card to keep the tab open, which was fine but our bartender seemed to refuse to acknowledge us (even though we were right in front of her when we wanted to close it out.) Finally we waved another bartender over and got him to close us out. Before doing so, I noticed the receipt had the effen vodka as $7.25. I also pointed to the HUGE adjacent sign sayin "effen vodka...$4 everyday allday." He says "oh, we take that off at the end." Hmmm, right.
I mentioned in my review of the downtown bar Louie that I disliked them not putting the price down on the menu. Here, they just chose to ignore the price they had printed.
I can't decide what I like less.
