place has been going down hill for a few years now...owners ran it to the ground  same thing with the other place Edisons Ale House.... such a shame both places were landmarks...i hear they are both for sale now....

Went here the other day for the first time with my wife, we both ordered the inside out burger, it was good! along with the onion rings and cold beers.  there was not much not to like, we enjoyed the meal.  Service was attentive and good, i would go back.

Their inside out burger is delicious as well as their loaded fries, their nachos, their french dip, and a lot of other things. They're the best bar in the area.

Barefoot is a neat bar/restaurant.The fried pickles with horseradish sauce are excellent, and the grilled chicken/pesto wrap is delicious. The service is good and the manager always asks how everything is. It is a little pricey but worth it for the food, drink selections and atmosphere.

Very fun Irish pub/ sports bar on the north shore of Long Island where these are not dime a dozen (I'm spoiled living in NYC).  $3 bud lights during the NFL playoffs. Very friendly bartenders and a quickpicks lotto machine which makes for some fun times.  I will definitely stop by the barefoot peddler next time I am in the neighborhood.

Located just north of Northern Blvd., the Barefoot Peddler is one of the only bars in this area of the North Shore. The awkwardly shaped buildings leave bar patrons with extremely limited parking (the bar doesn't even seem to have its own parking lot - unless I missed it). The shopping center to the north of the Barefoot appears to have waged parking war with the bar and installed big posters warning that they will call the cops if we park there. Doesn't make too much sense since it was after 9pm and all those stores were closed. So those business owners are just a bunch of lunatics.

After finally finding some acceptable parking, I walked into the Barefoot and found a traditional bar to the left and a restaurant to the right. I was there for Thursday night football and was happy to belly up to the bar. The special was half off wings. Great deal. I ordered the honey BBQ wings and they were absolutely delicious. Huge wings and the sauce was great. My chick ordered the steamed dumplings, which I tasted and did not particularly care for.

I drank reasonably priced beer that was super cold and served quick. Bathroom is through the restaurant and down a flight of stairs. Not sure how the diners appreciate the parade of drunks but it didn't impact me (I was at the bar). Overall its a great bar with some very tasty wings.

The service at this place is terrible, we go here every once in a while and always hope it will get better and it just doesn't.

I have lived around the corner from this place and after 6 years finally stopped in for dinner. Not bad! I usually stay away from pub food places where mostly everything comes out of a bag frozen. This was a step up, must be the neighborhood.  Burgers and soups and beer for dinner,  Everything was fresh. Very nice selection of beers on tap, the burger was juicy and fresh. definitely going to stop in more often.

Barefoot Peddler is a fairly spacious pub with ample seating and a wide array of drinks, especially when it comes to beer.  The staff is for the most part very helpful and the log cabin-esque feel really gives the place a calm relaxed vibe.

The food selection is your standard pub fare although the burgers are definitely above that of your average pub, with the inside out burger being my favorite!  Most of the other items don't stand out though and are only average.  Some of the appetizers are very skimpy with the portions considering the high prices they charge for them.

It's a great place to go with friends if you just want to kick back and have a nice drink.  You could do far worse than Barefoot Peddler.

I really like this place. It's a very cozy bar/restaurant that I really enjoy. Some of the items are a little pricey, but you can always find a deal with the burger and beer Tuesday nights. There usually is enough food to bring home for a second meal in the sandwiches or burgers too.

Definitely a place to stop in!

I like these guys.  The wings and burgers are great, the beer selection is amazing and the staff is friendly and efficient.  Other items on the menu are just ok though and seriously they have to learn how to pour a proper pint of Guinness.  You just can't expect me to take you seriously if you do a one-pour in a Sam Adams tulip glass.  Come on.

This is one of my regular places to go to lunch at with my coworkers.  The french onion soup is good and sandwiches and wraps are not bad either.  It is usually pretty quiet during lunch.

Everyone that passes this place should stop in.. it's cute, and has a super pubby feel with dark wood barrels for booths on the restaurant side of the bar/restaurant. Stick to pub fare choices... and you will be ok. Appetizers should be similar.. wings, potato skins, draft beer, sure you can order a salad etc.. nothing bad here. It's perfect for college students - their type of food! haha. What is nice is that it is not too bright and has a kick back casual vibe. Not good for a romantic dinner.. more for a fun bite.

Barefoot Peddler is located in the heart of Greenvale off Glen Cove road; it is a mid-sized pub offering wings, wraps, burgers and a great selection from the bar. Off the busy road of Glen Cove its location doesn't fit the personality of the restaurant as it seems like it belongs in the middle of a forest. The Peddler is easily accessible and a great place to go for a game or for lunch.

Ambiance: Having spent a semester in London studying abroad and seeing dozens of pubs I know the distinct look a European pub has and the barefoot peddler had a similar look. The whole place has a spacious feel and is surprisingly large. A couple of tables offer some privacy that are creatively placed inside a massive barrel. 5/5

Food: Behind the mahogany was a solid bartender who knew his stuff and made us aware of what was offered. There is a good amount of brews on tap and even more bottled. Guinness on tap was a plus for me. The menu offers burgers, wings, wraps, and other typical food you would find at a pub. Overall the food wasn't bad but it wasn't memorable either. 4/5

Service: Awesome staff that was friendly and ready to help with whatever we needed. Bartender is a great guy who seemed knowledgeable and whenever a new customer came in he usually knew them by name. Our food took some time to come out but nothing too bad, can't complain as everything was done well. 4/5

My wife and I love this place.  Always a great time.  Good food, good drinks, good service and good prices.  I have never had a bad time at the Peddler.

We only had one partially bad experience out of many

Been coming here for years. The food is great and the atmosphere is even better. The wait staff is so friendly, they make you feel right at home. The inside out burger is awesome! Can't leave without sampling the spinach dip and honey b-b-q wings!

This place takes me back to my old Long Island roots. You can always run into a familiar face here, sitting at the bar downing a few beers. The food is decent, serving new specials every night. The place is cute, with large barrels as booths.

Casual dining and bar. Decent American food, but nothing spectacular. It's a burger joint more or less, but the atmosphere is cool to hang out in with friends for a bite.
