Barley Island Brewing

FINALLY! After being in the Indy area for over 2 years, we have finally found a go-to brew pub and restaurant with excellent brews and decent food. It has a dive-bar feel to it, but we kind of enjoy that feel. I wouldn't mind a little clean up and a little improvement around the place, but the food is really good and the beer is even better. The people who work there and hang out there are super nice too.

My wife and I stopped in to have a quick beer.  We sat at the bar and were pleasantly surprised by the service and the quality of the beer.  I had an IPA that was excellent.  They also have a fermented cider on draft (that they don't brew) that my wife really enjoyed.

We'll definitely drop by again when we're in the area.

Disappointing. Lame food --- first batch of kettle fries burnt asked for a new order and second batch was only slightly less burnt. Tasteless spinach melt and overly "hoppy" beers. Only good thing was the service. Won't be back.
