This family-owned business can be great for the traditional consumer who likes beans in their chili or celery in their chicken salad. Â However, it was not for me. Â I was disappointed that they did not have their Friday special of the salmon cakes; I got there near closing. Â So I tried the chicken wrap with the tasty, unique tomato basil flour wrap. Â I was surprised to find a condiment near the bottom of my wraps; the menu should have such things listed as I asked not to include the tomato and alfalfa sprouts.
Review Source:Situated just off the square in beautiful, Victorian, downtown Noblesville, Eddie's is the culinary equivalent of everything that is good about the MidWest (and yes, there is a lot to love).
Eddie is 83, and he spends most of his time off and disposable income supporting orphans in Nicragua. He comes into the restaurant daily, and will happily tell you about "his kids" while naming them off from the photo collage on the wal,l and asking how your roast chicken dinner with mashed potatoes, green beans, and a fresh croissant is (delicious, btw). Classically homespun, the cafe is nothing fancy, but welcoming and comforting in that way that going home to mom's for Sunday dinner should be. The recipes themselves make you nostalgic for the Beav's America.
For $8, this was the largest, most delicious lunch around, and the location can't be beat. Start at Eddie's and then explore the shops on the square all afternoon.
