Bauer's Brauhaus

This place is overall really good (except the service and the wait). We went there on a Tuesday night for a quick bite.  It wasn't quick at all.  They didn't have any tables available because they had some kind of a school event so we sat at the bar.  After few minutes school event ended and guests started pouring in.  There was one bartender, one server and a manager (kitchen seemed like there was one person working there). We ordered few appetizers which came out after half hour of placing the order.  Steak Tartar $9, was superb, loved it and there was plenty of it, one of the better steak tartar I have ever had. Pickle Chips $5, very good, enjoying fried pickle with a German beer is a must. 12 Deviled Eggs $3, these were very good as well.  Another half hour past by and we finally got the soup.  Dumpling liver soup is to die for if you're not scared about the liver part. I mean this soup is so tasty I could have had gallons of it.  After half hour we finally got our dinner.  Beet Salad $10 was delicious, Bauerburger ButterKase $11.50 very good as well, we did add the butterkase cheese on it.  Despite the burger being cold it was still good.  Sausage Platter $16, is not worth the money, it was cold, tasteless and will definitely not order this again.  When I think of German sausage, I think of flavor, garlic, mustard, spices, nothing was striking about the sausage, very plain. So for restaurant that became empty after the school event, the SERVICE was TOO SLOW, some food was COLD but mostly delicious.  I will be back but not for service and sausage.  I will definitely try some of the other items on the money.  Décor is typical German place. I will do 8/10 for this place.

Horrible resteraunt !!  We drove over an hour each way to try this place with a groupon.  Website said they open at 4. About 4:15 we got there, we were seated and part of our order taken,  the manager came over Five minutes later and said we would have to leave because they were having a private party and wouldn't open until 6.  I told her we drove an hour each way and she said this never happens,  what will never happen is me going back there!!  How embarrassing !

Always fun and alway consistent.  Great beer selection in tap and Ashley and Karen are top notch.  Always friendly and always helpful.  The beet salad, salmon, big pretzel, mussels and steak tartare are worth the trip.
