I've never actually been in the bar but I live near it and about every other day I have to put in ear plugs to stop the god awful garage bands that seem like they just got done getting their instruments from the pawn shops then immediately set up a gig. You can also hear the people who can't handle their liquor screaming drunken gibberish at each other. If you want to get drunk with a bunch of neck beards this is the perfect place to go.
Review Source:The best venue for live entertainment in Muncie with a well rounded selection of craft beers for very affordable prices. Â They have an awesome outdoor space in the back with a stage that is perfect for warm Midwestern evenings. Â Live entertainment includes all types of bands and artists including genres such as indie rock, hip-hop, country, punk, and metal with some nights dedicated to open mic, comedy, kareoke, and dancing so there is something for everyone. Â Patrons include both the college crowd and Muncie locals of all ages. Â If a club atmosphere is what you seek then you should Be Here Now. Â (see what I did there.)
Review Source:Be Here Now has been my favorite bar in Muncie since it opened. The drinks are moderately to cheaply priced and the owner is a huge advocate for Indiana brewing. The indoor music venue is small, but there's a lot of attention paid to providing a lot of vantage points from all over the bar. Â The outdoor seating/stage beats anywhere else in Muncie. The atmosphere is awesome, and its generally clean, and fenced in to isolate the venue from the general strip riff raff. The bar is on the strip, which I believe is a conscious effort by the owner to bring some culture to the club-minded as well as a place for alternatively leaning folk to enjoy close to campus. Be there now!
Review Source:Be Here Now offers some great Indiana and underdog beers for equally great prices (especially Mondays). Â
Several nights a week you can catch hippie, indie, punk and whatnot bands. Â Other nights let patrons spin their own vinyl. Â The basement bathrooms are lewdly pinned-up and not for the faint of heart. Â In warmer weather, there's a huge biergarten out back. Â If I weren't so firmly cemented downtown, Be Here Now would see more of me. Â It's a nice little watering hole compared to the douchey Village competition.
