My office is right next to Bellacinos, so we are constantly ordering pizza from it. Being the token office vegetarian, they always get a veggie pizza; however, unlike just about every other pizza place ever, there is only one option for veggie toppings on the menu. This standard fare is not amazing in the first place, but it gets extra boring when you eat it once or twice a month.
In addition to that, I just want to put my opinion out there that Bellacinos seems overrated. The crust is meh and the sauce and cheese are nothing exciting. Not bad, not great. I will still continue to eat it when someone buys it for me, but I'll always choose somewhere else if I have influence - there are several better places in Carmel when it comes to pizza quality and variety.
I've only lived in Carmel for four months and I'm still finding my way around. I discovered Bellacino's by accident due to the presence of a few nearby businesses that I began frequenting almost as soon as moved here.
I finally gave Bellacino's a try about a month ago and was very pleased by the food and the service. I wish I'd tried it out sooner as it's only a five-minute drive from my location.
The only menu items I've had to date are the hot wings, the chef/garden salads, and the taco pizza but they've all hit the spot. I'm still looking forward to sampling a few of their grinders.
Bellacino's is now among my top go-to options for a carryout dinner... it's not really a sit-down kind of place but you can't go wrong with any of their food.
I highly recommend Bellacino's!
Have been a long-time customer of Bellacino's- and always will be! Â Very friendly staff, quick delivery, and good food. Â Some places are hit and miss- you order a sandwich/pizza/entree/etc one time and it's great, then another time the same dish is a disaster. Â this is NOT the case at bellacino's; they are always on target. Â
definitely a step above the bigger pizza/delivery chains.
When it comes to pizza there are several choices located throughout the city of Indianapolis, however Bellacino's is the spot in Carmel. I've been visiting this location for years and they always exemplify customer service. Before we get into that, lets first talk about the location.
The restaurant is located near the intersection of 126th and Meridian Street. It's on the other side of Meridian Street from Meijer. This is an important detail, because crossing Meridian Street is a time consuming process. The traffic lights heavily favor traffic moving north and south, so the average time to cross the street can be several minutes.
The restaurant has an old pizza parlor feel. It's not fancy or romantic. It's simply a place to eat. This is one way they're able to keep cost down. Why sell people on the ambiance, when you just sell them on your great food. So lets talk about that for a second.
Their lunch specials is where its at. $6 Pizza and drink. That's a price that can rival many chain pizza shops, but this one is local. If pizza isn't your thing, their grinders are simply one of the best in Carmel. Sizes vary, however Bellacino's has always supported  discount publications like the Zoo book, which is one of the primary reasons why I purchase one every year. All in all, if you're looking for Pizza in Carmel, Bellacino's has to be one of the options.
I stopped in as a saw a coupon in the mail. $7 for a 14inch 1 topping pizza. I was told years ago by the neighbors that this place was good so since it had been open for at least 5 years now, I decided I needed to try it for myself.
Their pizza dough is hand tossed. They have lots of specials as well on their chalkboard. Â
The 3 pepperoni and cheese stuffed breadsticks are 3.80 and sound very tempting next time. The lunch special read: lunch pasta and salad(fettuccini alfredo, garlic toast, salad, reg drink) all for $7.18 - not bad! Â
Pizzas, calzones, chili, grinders all with very creative not your average toppings available.
There are also a few tvs so if ya wanted to you can eat and watch a game.
Taste is not bad. Â Better than little caesars but falls a little short of donatos. It's thin the pepperonis are in between the sauce and the cheese so you can't see them or how many there were not like the pictures around the restaurant indicate. Â Maybe it was just our pizza. Â With the coupon I'd go again but I noticed this same pizza was on special for 10.80 today without the coupon...?
I love Bellacinos. Yes, it's just a grinder shop in a strip mall but it's my cold weather go-to spot when I'm in need of a BLT fix. This place isn't fancy, the guys making your grinder are often scruffy looking high schoolers (albeit always with unusually great attitudes in my experience) and after the lunch rush there will be tables that need bussed. Somehow though, this has never discouraged me. I like this place and its been here for years, which I think says something. Pizzas and grinders are the staple here but they come out right and HOT. Portion sizes are good - plenty but not so much that you'll need to be rolled out the door. Sometimes its just the simple stuff that hits the spot.
Review Source:I stopped in to Bellacino's on a whim the other day. Though it is in the same center as Amber Indian, we have never ever been here. On the day of my visit, it was very crowded with workers from the nearby office complexes. Everything looked and smelled great. I chose a chef's salad for carry-out. While I was waiting, I had the chance to case the place a bit. I noticed a few menu items that were unusual, such as the taco grinder (a.k.a. sub or hoagie), the BBQ pork grinder and a reuben grinder....all very interesting, especially the taco grinder. Not sure I would every choose that, but still interesting. My salad was quite good, full of fresh lettuce, turkey, ham, shredded cheese and all the other items that make for a good lunch-sized chef salad. I did think the pizzas going out to the tables looked really tasty, too. Not so tasty, though: the delivery guy who returned while I was waiting; I watched him take about six drags on his cigarette before dismounting his ride and coming back inside. Surefire appetite suppressant right there. Also, I give a one-star demotion for the smudged windows, sloppily dressed employees and stained carpet. My mom always had a hard and fast rule of not allowing our family to set foot in a restaurant with dirty windows when I was a kid....dear God, I AM my mother!! Seriously, Bellacino's, clean up your act a little and I might be a fan :-)
