Does not Deliver. Had to write a review to inform patrons they do not deliver because the survey results so they do and my one review probably won't override the system. I'm sure the food is fine, but I wouldn't know because they don't deliver and I'm stuck in a hotel downtown with no ride.
Review Source:Bellacino's food is good. Â I enjoy an order of parmesan sticks for lunch on occasion. Â Decent prices.
My issue and reduction of stars here is due to the service setup. Â Service here can be sloooooooow. Â Despite two registers, I've only ever seen one running. Â This is not good when it's the busy lunch hour. Â The line is slow, and the kitchen is equally slow.
I decided to beat the rush recently and called in my order ahead of time. Â Once I arrived at the restaurant, I could see my order sitting, waiting for pickup. Â
However, calling in an order ahead of time means nothing, because you still have to wait in line while everyone in front of you orders and pays. Â There is no separate area for pick-ups. Â That resulted in me standing in line for --no kidding-- 20 minutes watching my food get cold.
When I finally approaced the counter, I asked the worker why there is not a better system in place, since I now had cold food. Â She just gave me the 1,000 mile stare and basically stated that was just the way it is.
I stopped the manager on the way out and voiced my concerns. Â He did give me a gift card for my next visit. Â
I seriously don't understand why this is such a hard concept to grasp. Â Their system of ordering needs to be tweaked.
Great Grinders- There are wide variety to choose from, they're super affordable ($5-7), they taste great, and they're ginormous- I could only finish HALF of a half grinder!
They have other items on their menu like pizza and burgers but I found most people in the place had grinders. I don't blame them, they hit the spot!
It's definitely a comfortable, casual, family friendly, large group place to eat and hang out. There's a good number of tables and booths and if you're ever so lucky, you'll get serenaded by the electronic songs from the Claw game. :)
Bellacino's is a favorite of both BU students and residents alike. Â Their sandwiches(grinders), and pizzas are very flavorful. Â They are not one of the cheapest sandwiches in the area, especially compared to the chains, but its worth it. Â You can get a meal with a drink and a side for under $10 here. Â The grinders are amazing because they are served warm, and the bread is garlic bread. Â The fillings range from classic sandwich meats to chopped steak and corned beef.
Review Source:My favorite place to go for a sub if I've got the cash. They are a little bit higher priced than other chains, but the food is worth it. The portions are humongous, so order a bit smaller than you think you can eat just in case. Once the sandwich gets cold (if you have it toasted that is), it's going to taste awful. Wilty lettuce and soaked bread are never a good thing. But while it's hot and fresh, it's heavenly.
They knock Subway, Quizno's and Jimmy Johns off the map.
