The Belmont

my favorite venue in ham-town. it just sucks when they charge you cover i mean i'll never pay that shit because i'm a cheap ass. the "bat tunnel" is horrendous to your ears and I would not recommend it to claustrophobics. but good bands usually play here and the atmosphere is more "clean" than other venues where they reek of male piss and there is dust and smudge like painted lady. make sure to tip the bartenders because they're dirt poor.

The sign makes you think that maybe this bar is futuristic space bar but it isn't.  It's just a regular Earth bar.

I was there to watch a friend perform and was very pleased. Actually one of my favorite crowds out of all of the places I have been to. The area to watch the live music really stinks (that's where it loses points), but people were out of it by the bar singing along so i guess it doesn't matter. It was packed when i arrived, but literally as soon as the performance was over (11pm?) the bar was cleared out. Good experience and i'd definitely go there again.
