This place is really interesting. I love the concept, but I think it's a victim of a bit of overhype. The drink selection is great, prices for everything are awesome, and it's a cool, very casual place.
The food was a bit underwhelming, but I really just think my expectations were a bit too high for a dive bar with an eclectic menu. The black bean slider was awesome, the grilled cheese was decent, and the quinoa burger was devoid of seasoning, cold, and just overall pretty rough. The fries were solid, and my carnivorous friend enjoyed his meal quite a bit.
This place is A-OK, and I'll definitely be back. If nothing else, the drinks are awesome and you can get some pretty great snacks to go with them, all at a more-than-reasonable price.
Awesome food and one of the most eclectic crowds in the US. Â Hipsters next to yuppies next to blue collar workers and everyone gets along, everyone enjoys themselves, and nobody is acting like an asshat.
I wouldn't call it cheap, I would call Green Dot inexpensive. Â I don't know how or who came up with this recipe for business, but it's great.
My only complaint is that the hipster bartenders need to shower more often - one dude in particular is so stinky that we ALWAYS look for him and move to the opposite end of the bar.
