Bentley Pub

Despite the reviews, decided to try it ourselves as it is close to home.  The menu covered all the basics.  I had the turkey dinner, my 3 guests had baked stuffed shrimp, sirloin tips and lobster pie.  The butternut squash was fantastic.  We were all completely satisfied.  Was the popcorn a little greasy? Sure, its popcorn.  Our waitress was "Frasier" but her name is really Carol.  She was very attentive and professional.  I didn't often frequent the Piccadily Pub, so I don't have a lot to compare it to.  Prices were reasonable, beer choices were good.  Sometimes despite the reviews you read, you really need to try a place yourself.  We will definitely be back.

Well for starters we were told 20-30 minute wait on a Friday night at 7pm. Wish we saw the sign that said kitchen closed at 9:30. On a Friday!!  Well our 30 minute wait was more like 45 minutes. The waitress was appalled that one of our six needed a separate receipt. And she verbally made that clear. I ordered the lobster "flavored" bisque that was room temperature. Sent it back. Two of them ordered a meal that had cool green beans for a side. Not cold just cool. Will not be going back.

As the other's have said not much as changed. They have a limited menu which I guess changes every month. I was really in the mood for a steak, but all the had was steak tips and a serlion. Most of the menu was seafood.

I ordered the surf and terf which was steak tips and fried clams strips. Not my idea of surf and turf but I thought I would give it a shot. Stay away from the steak tips! No flavour and very chewy. But it was only $9.99.

The food isn't over priced. Between my husband and I we spent $30 with the tip, which is a cheap night out for us.

I wasn't wowed. This is the type of place you go to when the other restaurants in town are too full to get into.
