Big Deal's Sports Bar

We had high hopes for this place since it is so close to our home but no such luck. The service was one of the worst I have ever experienced. I am a server myself so I do not judge quickly and I understand mistakes. I went there with two guy friends for appetizers and drinks. The bar was slower yet it still took at least 10 minutes for our server to notice us. When she did she did not appologize or smile. She greeted us by saying "what do you guys want." She looked as if she had just rolled out of bed and acted like it as well. She did not ID any of us (and we are all 22 and do not look old at all, she could have lost her job and gotten the bar shut down) We ordered mozzarella sticks and cheese fries and we each ordered a cocktail (whiskey sour, vodka cran, and rum and coke) easy drinks. It took 20 mins to get our drinks, never got the water we asked for, and the food came out cold. We joked that we should order 2 drinks at a time because the service was so slow but we never even had a chance to order more drinks because a half hour later when our server came by (we had been waving her over but she ignored us) we just wanted out bills and wanted out. Needless to say she took 10 more mins to get  us the bills and 10 more to run our credit cards. I will never go back there and I warn others to pick a better bar.

I would recommend the owner take a good look at his wait staff and focus less on TV's and more on customer service. I would be embarassed to work here.

Great drink specials, great service, decently priced bar food, lots of TVs. The atmosphere is nothing special, but the prices more than make up for it.

This place will probably not be around long.. Just what Kalamazoo needs.. another sports bar right? nope...

The subpar bar food is ok for what it is... the "highway to hell" wing sauce is not spicy nor flavorful.  The beer on tap and specials are always crap like miller light or bud light.. The tap selection is garbage and mostly domestic..
