This spot knows how to rock out a burger with consistent zip-pow-wow! Another stop today, after a dismal dmv experience, brought my entire psyche back into the real. My burger was a juicy work of art, always all ways. The fellas are super courteous and way cool with requests..the chili peppers are a must! Do yourselves a huge favor & enjoy a burger masterpiece from Biggie's whenever possible.
Review Source:Ok, so they have the best hamburger in town, the best fries and the best milkshakes, that doesn't excuse the fact that if you get all three- and you absolutely have to- you are going to gain five pounds and clog your arteries. You do not want to go there unless your cravings for perfection out weigh your desire for longevity in life!!!
Review Source:I love this place...man I've missed this place ever since I moved away from San Clemente in 1999. Â Well, recently I had the occasion to return on a drive-by from LA to San Diego so I decided to stop by for my traditional favorite which back in the days was know as "Fatburger" Â
Well, the order that I made was a King Burger with large coke and skinny fries. Â Outstanding! Â The patties were done perfectly with the works (onions, tomatoes, lettuce...etc.). Â The best part about Biggie's burgers is the way the buns are crispy and grilled to perfectly compliment the patties.
What's great about Biggies is that after 14 years, the food tastes the same and the employees who served me in 1999 are still there. Â This says a lot about the institution...classy.
Used to be Biggies. Then was FatBurger. Now it's Biggies again. Call it whatever you want, the burgers are great. I'm right across the street so when I start jonesing for a good burger and I'm not in the mood to cook I can pop across the street and grab a kingbuger and fat fries. The guys get the order out quickly and food is good.
Review Source:Overall a good burger, fries were tasty and the service was  good.  Just moved to the area and have been trying all of the burger joints around and we  got a coupon for Biggies and decided to try it.  If there was one thing that bothered me the most about this place was the fact that they CHARGED FOR WATER!! YES, for a small cup of water they charged us ten cents!!! I even asked the guy helping us and he said "I don't make the rules"!!
Honestly, Riders Club down the street is better!
Great burger joint. Â Of the choices for fast burgers out there, this one is tops. Â It used to be a fat burger a while ago, but the owner wanted to add more items to the menu I believe, so it's Biggie now. Â Anyway everything I've had has been good. Â My only complaint is no jalapenos :) Â I visit this place fairly often though, as I spend a fair amount of time in san clemente.
Review Source:Was delighted to try this little wonder ,,,, small in size, BIG in flavorful hamburgers,,, I only had the Burger with cheese without lettuce ,and asked for a strawberry MALT, although the owner said all they make are shakes,,, so was pleased when I received my lunch,,, Had to be the most delightful hamburger, very moist, and juicy , and the shake was thick as I like it. I will definitely return and try the other items on his menu...I will be  telling my friends about it also.
Review Source:I actually put in an order at Buds and for 2 meals it was $24 ......seriously? Â Needless to say I cancelled the order. Â I got the same thing here for $14 after the coupon. Â I couldn't even finish the small cheeseburger or the fries and they were both very good. Â I think the only thing I would change is a little less of the veggies. Â For a burger joint it's good, not the best burger I've ever had but I'll go back.
Review Source:This is Fatburgers. Â Same menu, same prices, same choices...just different name. Â Cool location as you can sit outside and look at the ocean. Â Honestly, it is expensive. Â Nice staff. Â Good food, but ouch it is expensive...very expensive. Â I was fooled by the name thinking it was a local shop, but it remains a chain.
Review Source:Biggies is a cute little place. Was not busy the day I went, but it would be a packed place in short order if it were to get busy! The service was great. They paid close attention to details, cleaning up straw wrappers from the tables.
The "burger" was delicious and just the right size. The toppings were fresh. A touch less pepper next time though. The onion rings were a little on the thin side- almost onion strings- but they had a good crunch to the outside. The Neapolitan milk shake was a good consistency, not too thick, not too thin, but was more on the strawberry side. Good thing that I like strawberry.
I love this place too much. Â The guy on the phone knows me when I order...the wait is always about 10 min, as everything is cooked to order, so phone orders are perfect! Â It's just like the Fatburger (like it used to be named) without the franchise name. Â Consistent product, good service, great quality...its worth the $!! Besides, my Grandmother, "Big E" made the best burgers in the south...I was born to love this place :)
Review Source:Great burger place! The burgers are delicious and topped with the perfect amount of ingredients. The onion rings and shakes were also fantastic. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We had originally intended to take our food to go but decided to grab a table instead. Without us even having to ask the staff brought us trays and ketchup for our meal. I will definitely be coming back.
Review Source:Came in just for two simple chocolate shakes. Cost us $9. And they were so runny. It tasted like really cold chocolate milk. Needless to say my husband got our money back. OH and for whatever reason, even though they weren't busy AT ALL, they took almost 10 mins to make the shakes! Rediculous!
Review Source:I would agree with the other reviewers, first thing that comes into mind when you see the menu is that it is a spitting image of fatburger. Â I got the king deal (king burger, thick fried, and a diet coke). Â The burger is listed as 1/2 lb before cooking. Â Came out hot and fresh and very jucie. Â Fries were nicely cooked, hot and crispy on the outside, soft and flaky on the inside. Â Sodas are free refills but you have to ask at the counter. Â Not really a big deal when i went since it was a late lunch and they didnt have many customers in at the time. Â The bathroom is out back and you need to get a key from the cashier.
Review Source:I am already plotting what I am going to get next and if I can bring some home to San Diego and have it survive the trip ~ holy moly these burgers are good!! I am ready to swear off burgers everywhere else (that is a huger statement) and just drive to San Clemente for Biggies. The perfect combo of toppings the lucsious juiciness of the patty...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!! Â We had the fat fries and the chocolate shake...all were top notch; I would have really liked a malt, but o well.
The staff at Biggies is awesome too; great food, great service...um yeah, and it comes with a view!!
South county does not have much of a food selection and so this is the few places that I would stop by. Â As mentioned by others, this is Fat Burgers without the franchise name. So, if you got more than $10 dollars to spare, drop by for a great burger. Â Otherwise, you'll go broke or waste all your per diem on one expensive great, tasting burger!
Review Source:Sunday after church and looking for a greasy burger.
Originally we were looking for the Fat Burger that used to be here, but soon realized Biggies was there instead, and tried it any ways... and we were glad we did.
I got the Burger combo with cheese and bacon and skinny fries...delicious. It came out quickly and did not disappoint. Loaded with veggies, the meat was insanely juicy, the bacon fresh and very crispy...that burger was like buttah. I left fat, dumb and happy needless to say.
The ONLY reason for not receiving 5 stars was the pricing...personally I think 9 bucks for a burger combo at a lil SC hole in the wall is a little pricey...but trust me, that first melt in my mouth bite, the cute and clean environment, the view, and the really nice cashier named Marcel made up for it! :)
I always stop by this burger joint on my way down to San Diego.
Service is always great. The menu is a spitting mirror replica of Fatburger, but I don't care because their burgers are delicious.
I always order the small burger deal w/o cheese (or medium if I'm really hungry). The cheese just takes away from the natural suculant juices of the beef, veggies and condiments. Skinny fries is the way to go with their crispy texure in each bite.
I suggest sitting outside on their small patio area. There is a great view of the beach of San Clemente from the patio. Enjoy your meal with a fresh ocean breeze and a belly full of this awesome burger.
Pretty much the Fat Burger menu (if not 100%). Veggie and beef burgers are delicious. Both kinds of fries are good too, though in my opinion the thin cut fries are better - stellar, actually. Nice and crispy golden. Chili is very tasty, but greasy. Inside, it's a typical burger joint - nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable enough.
Review Source:I recently visited Biggie's Burgers because it was late and most of the other restaurants in the area were closed. Â I believe it used to be a Fat Burger so the menu is very similar. The place was clean and the service was excellent! Â I ordered a turkey burger and fries. The turkey burger was big and very flavorful and the fries were cooked perfectly - golden and a little crispy! My husband ordered a salad with grilled chicken. He said the chicken had a great flavor. My brother loved the burger he ordered! The staff checked on us a couple times to make sure everything was good and to see if we needed refills on our drinks. All 3 of us will definitely be going back to Biggie's Burgers!
