The biggest attraction this "bar & grill" has is the pool tables. If you check into this place on your Yelp account, then you receive a free hour of pool, which is worth $12.

At first I couldn't find a hostess, only one waiter and one barter, which was odd for a busy weekend day. I had to flag down the waiter because she was running around to all the tables and I wasn't sure how seating worked.

When I finally stopped her, she gave me attitude as if I was stupid.

All in All I gave this place a 3, because honestly it was just average. The food was good but wasn't anything amazing. We purchased the hamburger and pulled pork sandwich. Pricing was around $10 a plate but they were short staffed by far.

This place is not a café, and maybe the owner doesn't know that. A café serves coffee, teas, and lite snacks not alcohol, burgers, and pool tables.

Lack of planning after wandering a few hours around the MBA led us to this spot.  We were drawn in by the flyer for a free appetizer ($7.95 or less, plus calamari or potato skins).  We followed the sign inside and took the escalator upstairs.

First impression:  very large space!  Large bar, large TVs, tons of tables, bird's eye view of Cannery Row, partial view of the Bay, plenty of pool tables as well.  VIP corner (red rope section) left me wondering if this place morphed into a DB sports bar or club at night?

The place was pretty empty, which I thought was suspicious, as the street below was bustling with people.  it was just our trio, two other small families, and a few teenagers playing pool on the other side of the room.  The bartender was doing double duty as our server.  He was on it and gave us great service.  Hubby had a Guinness and I enjoyed a Pear Cider.  The calamari appetizers were okay.  I had a Snapper sando w/mixed greens.  Meh.  Kiddo had a soup and salad combo - clam chowder and mixed greens with garlic bread.  The bread was buttered and toasted well, and embedded with bits of garlic.  That was enjoyable.  Husband had the beer battered fish and chips.  They were large.  Meh.

Somehow our meal order entitled us to a free hour of pool.  The boys enjoyed themselves immensely.

Would probably return for drinks and more garlic bread :P

There's a good number of pool tables. Sticks are old and somewhat breaking. Decent prices. It's on the top floor with only 1 escalator going up. No escalator going down? Wtf? I had to find a staircase in the back corner.

The family was walking around cannery row and needed a snack. Everything so expensive in the area and had seen blue fin on yelp so decided to come in knowing they had pool tables . My kids were in need of an activity.  We ordered the sampler , nachos, potato skins ,chicken nugget things , its had no flavor and was not very good. But we ate it because we were hungry.
I checked in on yelp to find we had hour free pool. so showed it to the bar tender and she took 12 dollars of bill. :)  I'm giving blue fin 3 stars because seeing my youngest boy playing pool with his older brother and dad  having fun was priceless. While I drank a few MUCH needed cold beers.

The plus here is that its pretty easy to get a table compared to places next door.  And the service was pretty quick and attentive.  But the food was really terrible.  The burgers were obviously frozen patties and it was all very very bland cafeteria grade.  Dissapointed.  We'll wait in line for the better places nearby next time.

three stars for being one of the few places that offer salsa dancing. the dj needs to visit an LA club to update his outdated playlist . the dance floor is cement so it can be hard on the feet. Went for a glass of wine and the bartender grabbed a wet wine glass and dried it off with a dirty rag then handed it to me . Gag me with a spoon ! Then I had to stand there for a few minutes for the lady to make eye contact just to get a glass of water.  pretty good dancing if you can handle some of the elevator salsa tunes that they play. I'll be going back but will drink bottled beer.

Alright place. Pretty well put together. Pool tables, giant jenga set, big TV and a couple couches, big bar, and a little dance floor. The night I went the DJ was playing pretty good music. I'd give it four or five stars but the crowd was pretty thugish and the bouncers frisk you before going in - I've never been to any other place in Monterey that does that. No pocket knives, no hats, no hoods, no colors, etc, etc.

I kinda dig the place, but I'd probably only come back if I had the right company.

ProTip: Dress nice, as that seems to be the norm here, especially for folks that aren't there just to play pool.

Came here Friday afternoon for a quick bite to eat and to kill some time. If you check-in on yelp you get an hour pool free. also got a voucher from random person on the street for free appetizer if you spend over $20.

Price: a bit on the pricey side for what they serve and the quality of it
Quality: very average food expected of sports bar type place. fried calamari was decent (free appetizer). salad was ok. clam chowder was pretty good. fish and chips...lacked flavor and WAY too greasy. one beer. after tax and tip this amounted to $30. eh.....not so much what it was worth.
Space: large. great views. billiards are at one corner of the restaurant. looks like dance floor for night time (next to bar).
Service: One lady working day shift. Very friendly, although I can't really say much follow up after food was delivered.
Ambiance: sports bar feel. they had a game on. it's very nice and quiet during the day tho.
Parking: street (meters) or structure ($8?). It's on cannery row...lucky we got parking a block away.

It was a good stop to kill some time before heading back to the bay. Can't say I'd come back for anything specific though.

Service is terrible. We sat in the bar area and thought we would get fast service because it was so slow, but the bartenders were more involved with each other or the one girl at the bar. After 15 minutes of waiting we left. Whenever we inquired about our server we were told, "She should be right here" and that was all...I've left this place three times in 2012 because I keep thinking, "Maybe they were having an off day."

I'm not surprised this place closes shop so often.

I've only been here late at night on weekends so my review reflects this scene:

From a Club Owner's perspective (not that I am):  "on paper" this place seems to be a gold mine given the location at cannery row and physical attributes of this space!  However, given that Monterey is so snooze/chill/dead for a "wanna be Vegas night club", they should think of some new ideas to get the crowd here they probably desire. Better promotions through social media perhaps?...  Maybe promote it in SJ?  Buy a Greyhound & offer free hotel rooms & bus some party people in to Monterey?...lol.

You have to remember you're in the small town of Monterey when here, although they unsuccessfully try very hard (too hard perhaps) to make you think you're in Vegas,.... from the moment you enter starting with the CSI style ID check, then the 2 security guard full body TSA-like frisking,....then you can proceed up the escalator to the Bar/Club. If they're worried about the gang banger's guns (which might be a real concern with Salinas nearby) then perhaps the frisking isn't so bad.  At least there is no cover charge!

I really like the layout of this place.  It is on the 2nd floor & the larger dance floor has a huge balcony overlooking the cannery row street scene below, with a DJ spinning the beats.  Such potential!!!  In the middle area of this joint there are tons of pool tables.  There is a smaller dance room/area on the opposite side of this place with monitors playing videos to the usual hip hop tracks shaking the walls gangnam-style.  The music is usually fairly decent and loud.  There are a few couches & cush chairs near the bar area and they have a ginormous sized Jenga game I seen peops playing the last time I was here.  There is also the token VIP room at this area with bottle service but I have never actually seen any VIPs using it or anyone else shelling out the dough to sit on the other side of the beaded curtain under the chandelier.

This place caters to the 20-something crowd, but 30-somethings seem to fit in as well.  40-somethings should go across the street to another bar I think.. I would actually like to come shoot some pool here some day and see what the scene is like during the daylight hours.  I'll be back ...(because there's not too many other alternatives in Monterey)!

This place could be a hit if they promoted it better and got a crowd here.  They have good music, two dance areas, average priced drinks and ton of pool tables.  It seems like a younger crowd usually out number, so if you are in your 20's I'd give this place a shot.  This place takes plastic and is not cash only like a lot of the smaller bars in Monterey.  If you are looking for a more relaxing bar and not so many fresh 21ers, i'd suggest another bar.

I'm rating this place based on the different reasons why I go here:

    1. To play pool. With a view. With bar service. Enuf said!

    2. To hang out with friends. This place is hopping and there is a LOT of room to spread out. I hate overcrowded spaces so perhaps that's why I love this place so much! I also love their outdoor patio that over looks the sizzling dancing that goes on inside the Aqua Lounge.....which leads me to #3

    3. This place has not one, but TWO separate dance areas. One of them is VERY large and can hold a lot of people. There are different things going on each night, some nights are busier than others. I love that they offer a variety of dance lessons and dance socials. There really is something for everyone!

My favorite thing they offer is the weekly Salsa dance lessons and social every Thursday. This place is the NUMBER ONE Salsa dance spot in the entire Monterey Bay! Come for the class, stay for the party. And it's only $5 for the whole night!

If you are looking for a place to host your birthday party, quinceanera, wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, business luncheon, you name it, this place has a LOT to offer and their prices are the best around!

I should post some pictures of when I had a family day here and brought my kids and my mom out to shoot some pool while overlooking the ocean. That was a really fun day! Let me go see if I can find them.....

We were hungry but not hungry enough for an actual meal.  The baseball game was on (go Giants!) and we needed a place that isn't packed because we had to get back to our parking spot by 5pm.  We wandered into another strip mall when my guy noticed the menu by the escalator.  We reviewed the menu quite quickly and landed on: carne asada fries.

I don't know what drink he got but he got me a diet soda which was served in a jar.  Very cute.  The carne asada fries came out when I was in the restroom changing the boy and freshening up.  I don't know how long that took but it was so sweet that my guy waited for me =)

I took a picture of the plate and so did he.  I know I'm a Yelp nerd but so is he even though he may not admit it.  After we uploaded the picture on Yelp, he started to dig in and he was feeding me as well.  The carne asada was tender but the kick that jumped out to me was the guacamole.  Oh my, oh my.. if I wasn't trying to lose weight, if we weren't trying to save money, and if we did not have a time constraint, I would walk up to the bar and order my own plate.  IT IS THAT AWESOME.

The only blah moment was watching my team lose.

If you find yourself here w/o kids (sorry Gav, no offense) and open to try one of the yummiest plate of fries ever, drink, and shoot pool then come by here.  There are plenty of pool tables.  I did notice that there are no tables to shoot 3 balls though.

Have been several times now...most recently three days ago.

No we don't do the club scene - meat markets are not our thing, but for a place to sit above the Row and do some serious tourist riffing while waiting for the trolley this place is great...the third floor view, happy hour prices, decent brews, the pub grub, and the service which is either excellent and attentive if you desire, or indifferent if that's what you prefer:  sometimes cheery waitstaff hunting for a tip is almost as bad as the tourists asking for directions.  The day we wanted attention we had a pregnant waitress who was hustling and attentive and its a looooong walk from the kitchen.

Overall:  Our fav spot for relaxing away from the maddening crowd during the day to regroup and get our Mr. Rogers smile on.

This place isn't bad - it defiantly has potential of being a better spot than what it currently is. Security guards and doorman are pretty chill and kick back and not as douchey as some other local clubs tend to hire. Mixed drinks are decent and the bartenders are fast. Music is decent as well. The food is typical bar/club food - you know, the Dennys quality, but I wouldn't expect anybody to come here strictly for the food.

If you just want a chill spot to kick it at and play a game of pool, then this is your spot.

This is kind of a cool place if you like to play pool.  They have a lot of decent tables and plenty of seating.  It is on the pricier side since they have to pay for the real estate in Cannery Row, but it isn't bad.  They have a nice patio outside that overlooks the courtyard below, so it can be pretty fun when it is jumping.

They make pretty good drinks here and the bartenders make a pretty good gin gimlet.  They mix Rose's and fresh lime for a bit of sweet.

We went there for karaoke and it started slow but picked up quickly.  Their karaoke list isn't very big, but you can opt to purchase other songs from on-line with their system.  They do it in the back room though, so you have to go and get your own drinks - there is no waiter service, but if you order food, they will bring it to you.

We ordered some appetizers here and they weren't too bad.  It is basic pre-packaged bar food, but again, it is hard to mess up a lovely fried stick of cheese :).

There are definitely a lot of tourists in here since they are downtown, but it isn't a bad place to people watch.  I am sure we would come back at some point to have a beer.

Considering that this establishment is in Monterey, it would be fun to hang out here.

I think they try WAY too hard. I mean, why would they have a section to take "red-carpet" pictures? It's sort of a good idea to accomplish a club, bar, and billiard at once, but they're all just half there. If they were to focus on improving at least just one of those sections, they won't suck as much. Also, they charge club prices for alcohol.

This review is for the food.

Came here for lunch because my boyfriend and I passed by the restaurant and were given coupons for a free appetizer if we spent $20.

The free appetizer we chose was the fried artichoke hearts. They looked like McNuggets in terms of the size and the batter used, but I gotta say that McNuggets taste better. If I had paid for this, I would have been pissed off, because there were only 8 of these flavorless things......not sure I would have wanted more anyways though.

My boyfriend ordered the pulled pork sandwich, which was pretty tasty and worth its $10 price tag. They put in crunchy fried onions, which is a good touch and went well with the pulled pork. The fries were another story - tasteless and limp and sad. I mean, the only thing fries should taste like are potatoes...how hard can that be?

The chicken sandwich I had was dry and also tasteless. Well, actually, it did taste almost like cardboard, but who would want to taste that? $10 is way too much for a piece of cardboard. Thankfully, I didn't order fries, but my side salad, which didn't even come with the Ranch mixed in, was otherwise pretty normal.

Service was pretty good; the waitress was friendly and came over to refill our waters a couple of times, which was nice. 4/5 stars for the service and that good pulled pork sandwich, but -3 stars because of the majority of the food, which was crappy = 1 star.

Monterey's replacement for the mucky duck! Complete with a fully body patdown at the foot of the escalator and an electronic scan of your ID!

Lots and lots of very fat girls waddling everywhere greeting you once you get past the multiple sets of security at the foot and top of the escalator.

It just reminds you how much of a stinking armpit Monterey County has become.

My Brother and I were in Monterey for a few days of vacation and staying at a Hotel on Cannery Row. There wasn't much to do other then the tourist stuff, but we came to find Blue Fin. They may have the best view while playing pool. They are perched atop of the building on the third floor so if you are lucky you can get one of the tables that faces the ocean.

The happy hour is pretty much your regular happy hour, nothing to special about it. I know that if I am ever back in the area I will visit the Blue Fin Cafe again, plus they have a great deal if you check in on Yelp you get one hour free of play.

I'm pretty much just reviewing based on drinking here with friends...

I always have a great time here. The bartenders are friendly, it's open enough that I never feel claustrophobic, and the dance floor and pool tables are always an option. Also, they have karaoke some nights in a side room (not that I'm a singer, but I enjoy watching others People seem generally friendly, and I've had many a fun drunken conversation in the ladies' room.

In addition, I left my credit card there last night like an idiot and when I came to get it it was tucked away safely and they had not added any extra charges.

Had fun hanging out during happy hour on a Monday.  Slow night but it's free to play pool on Mondays with a $20 purchase.  Played for at least a few hours for the price of food and drinks.  The bill added up anyway, but it was still a good value.

Beer selection is decent, but the appetizers are the really nice surprise and reason for 4 stars.  Someone in the kitchen knows what they are doing.

The chicken strips were nicely prepared, but the artichoke hearts are the best I've ever had.  I'm pretty sure they were hand cut from fresh artichokes and the aioli was bright and delicious.  The generous portion for $5 at happy hour was even better than the artichoke hearts I had at Spruce in San Francisco, which I believe is Michelin-starred.  The wife ate half so I had to order another.  Not the wife, the artichokes.  I would return just for that.

I like how open and big this place is, but the cost of playing pool is a little rediculous. Plus, the drink prices are a bithigh also. A cool place to hang out and has a cool atmosphere, but make sure your pockets are fat.

Only come here for Pool, if you check-in on Yelp get 1 hour free but after that its $12/hour which is very high. The drinks here are decently priced, the dance floor is always empty so if you want to go out and club, this is 100% not for you. On Thursdays they have Salsa with a live band which is really cool. All in all if you want to play pool, have a couple drinks and chill, this place is for you.

We came here to play some pool and have a couple of drinks mid-afternoon. They have a LOT of pool tables - all seem very worn and so do the pool sticks they have available for everyone. We did LOVE the yelp check in which gave us a free hour of pool. Prices are a bit high - $12/hour to play pool with minimum 1/2 hour charges.

As for drinks - if not during happy hour - it's pricey - $4.50 for a pint of Bud light? Seriously? (But then again - it's on par with the rest of the bars and restaurants in Monterey - I guess high rent prices means high beer prices huh?) They did have a couple of cocktails listed for $5.00 which were basically gross. Lots of alcohol but tasted pretty nasty.

I think their happy hour was pretty good (**and i increased by a star because it's actually the BEST BY FAR happy hour we saw - definitely would be worth coming here for that!) - should have snapped a picture, but we ended up not staying and headed over to Cannery Row Brew House instead. Likely should have stayed here since the happy hour menu was better!

Overall - not a bad place to spend 2 hours - especially considering there didn't seem to be any other places for us to play some pool. But we will be back! :)

I don't come here for CLUBBIN' but  for some good GRUBBIN'. Not sure if I'm ready to hit up the Blue Fin nightlife scene after a series of incidences prior to 2009....but I'm definitely in for lunch at the Fin.

Everyone was really pleased with their food selections. We ordered a quesadilla, potato skins, chicken nachos and the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. All were great!

Blue Fin is great for grabbing some food and drinks, shooting a couple games of pool (not many places left in Monterey with multiple pool tables)and watching sports on one of their many screens.

Since re-opening back in 2009, they've tried to vamp up the place with trendy chadeliers, velvet couches and other modern decor.  I applaud their efforts for trying to swank things up a bit and bringing in new additions.

They used to have a good champagne brunch back in the day but they didn't bring it back when they re-opened :-(

All in all, I would come back here. We were pleased with the food, amazing views of the Pacific and I could display my inner pool shark on one of their many tables :-)

This is based solely on our experience for lunch today.

We pretty much had to decide between here,Bullwackers and Louie Linguinis. It was raining pretty good outside,so we had to make a quick decision to escape the rain.Bullwackers and Linguinis have been done before and they both suck IMO.

So we went with this place.Walked in,ordered within 15 minutes and waited a really long time. There was only us and one other table there eating. The service was pretty slow. The food kept coming out but none of it was for us.The other table must have ordered alot.Nearly 40 minutes after ordering, our food arrived.I even made a comment that "what, can the kitchen only cook one thing at a time?"

The food was terrible.None of us enjoyed what we had ordered. And for me,it was the worst burger I've had in a really long time.At least within the last few years.

Been here in the past and have played pool and have had drinks and was a better experience than what we had today.

They had Victoria beer - double points.  Unfortunately, there were only two other girls sitting at the bar and after 15 minutes we had to shout to get service.  Later we found out they worked there so it was pretty messed up.  Eventually, we tried to play some air hockey but the puck wasn't coasting as it should.  As we were considering the pool tables we were told that the crowd coming in was for a rave club type thing that the cafe turned into on Friday nights.  A warning call to move along...

    PROJECTOR!!!

An awesome place to watch the Giants game....ya know, when they weren't champs yet. I'm rating this place mainly on the food....not good, not great....just average.

We tried the fries...calamari and I really can't remember most of it......ugh, that's why I say it really wasn't great.

Just fried food to ease the hunger pains I suppose. Go to Cannery Row Brewing Company, you'll be much happier there. And....you won't have to worry about getting shanked. Douche bags typically don't shank, just annoy.

Slowest bartenders in Monterey County.  It's almost like they don't want to make money!

This place used to be fun when it first opened, but now it's very ghetto.
The only way I'll ever go back is if the bartenders learn how to serve drinks faster, the drinks get cheaper and if the clientele is not from the TV show "Pitbulls and Parolees".

I went on a Saturday night in a group of about 12 people, to play pool and probably dance.  There aren't many other places around here where you can knock those two birds out with just one stone.  They must have it nailed.  Read on.

Let's go unorthodox style here and give Blue Fin 5 stars right off the bat.  Now for the fun...let's see how many stars we can knock off!!

First off, I got frisked at the damn entrance.  G-H-E-T-T-O!  Not only did I get man-touched, the  dimwitted behemoth of a security "official" didn't even find the knife that I kept in my pants pocket, with the clip showing outside of my pants!  Man-touched for nothing.  For the record, there was a stabbing there about two or weeks after my visit.

    Woopsies..there goes two stars.

Do you think I'm gonna let this dump get away with 3 stars?  Heck no.  Turn to the right as you come off the escalator, check out the speed-dating slash middle school science fair-esque table setup they have over there.  I don't know if that cheesy PVC pipe covered with tablecloths and used as separators shenanigan Barbara Strisand setup is temporary or not, but it plain looks stupid and would be expected at a billiards hall down in Atascadero or something, but not here in Monterey...especially in Cannery Row of all places.

A brief sidenote to the owner; take some dadgum pride in your establishment man!  I'm bloody sure you're the balding short wanker waddling around back behind the bar, closely watching your bartenders, making absolutely sure they charge designated drivers (me that night) TWO DOLLARS for a dumb plastic cup full of ice and over diluted Coca-Cola!  You have the nerve to charge me?  Change the damn syrup!

Not only that, but there were absolutely ZERO chairs around our billiards table.  Worst billiards setup ever.  Where was our group/players supposed to sit/relax/enjoy their drinks while shooting rounds?  I asked two different employees for assistance and one of them said "if you walk around and find a chair, you can steal it".  Where the hell am I right now?

Yep, myself and a couple buddies ran around the place like idiots stealing freaking chairs and tables from everywhere just to keep our group comfortable/from wanting to leave.  Come to think of it, yeah, we shoulda' just left.

As the clock struck 10:47PM, the entire East Oakland showed up.  I shit you not..I felt like ghostriding our pool table.  Everyone in our group was dressed fairly nice; not baller status by any means, but some of the crap Blue Fin allows in is redonkulous! Yeah I said that.  There's no dress code I guess, and this brings out the sewer rats apparently.  Surprise surprise.

I have to stop.  I'm not completely unfair. There are 2 stars left...take 'em.  1 for straight pool cues and 1 for music.  That's all you're ever gonna get from me and everyone I know.  :)

Home to the hottest bartender... you know who I'm talking about.  She's hot.  Toned, ink or her let arm, hot new bangs... she is banging!

Overall not the biggest fan of this place but it is quite a scene.  It used to be where my parents and their friends hung out for a chill evening to play some billiards (like 10 years ago) and now it's like a faux Vegas with their one VIP room (with chandelier and all) and girls wearing the skankiest of skany outfits.  I mean I was wearing a low top and tight jeans and 5 inch platforms and I was by far (had a couple people confirm this) the classiest dressed female here.  I had one friend tell me to take my jeans off completely to fit more in.

The scene is quite entertaining so I definately recommend hitting this place up at least once or so.  I know why I stick to dive bars and some hip joints in Carmel now.  The crowd here is quite ridiculous (in a good way).

Funny to see how a bar can evolve over the years... I bet they make way more $$$ there with the "hip" young crowd.

Okay this is better the most the places in Monterey. I love that they have re-opened. Mostly because it is SO big that they can do more then one event at a time. I went for a show which was in the back and it was great. Service was quick for my beer, not to over priced.

Downside, why didn't they put in more bathrooms when they re-opened? That would have made a lot more sense.

A local had mention this place to us so we had to give it a try.

When I first entered, the place was pretty empty. There was maybe about five other people sitting at the bar hanging out and having a drink. It looked like they were cleaning up after a big event.

At first I wasn't sure if this is a type of sit down restaurant because this place is huge and it's filled with mostly billiard tables. It looked more like a place for a bunch of guys to drink beer, celebrate, play pool, and watch the game. We decided to sit down far away from the bar and get a window seat with a view of the streets with all the shops.

The menu has a pretty nice variety of foods to choose from. They had everything from fish and chips, clam chowder, to steak. I decided to try the rib eye steak and clam chowder (Pictures posted). I'm glad I did because the steak was very tender and juicy, and the sauteed mushrooms gave it a nice savory add on. The portion was more than enough and I did not regret it a single bit. Everyone else at my table ordered the fish and chips. To me it was good, but it didn't taste like anything special (though it is made with a different kind of fish not traditionally used), then again I'm not a fan of fish and chips unless it's smothered in tartar sauce.

The service was a tab bit slow. We did not get our menus until 5 minutes after we sat down. My cup of water was empty most of the time and our food took well over half an hour to arrive. The bar tender came over to apologize and check up on us to see if there was anything he could do. He had mentioned that a large party came earlier so they were trying to catch up on things. Also, they only had one waitress working at the time so she was constantly busy. I didn't mind though because she was obviously trying her best.

Overall we left happy and satisfied. The food was good, but the service could have been faster. They definitely cater to the younger crowd because of the party and events.

This place is huuuge. I only come here only if there is a special event .going on. I  came once on a regular night and I didnt have to much fun, I dont like to dance to TOP 40. I think this place can use some  house music djs in one room, and a 80s new wave dj in another room. That would GRAND.

Food was good and the pool tables were really nice. We ate there on a Thursday afternoon. A local kid told us to try it out for good affordable food. It was good and affordable. We were the only ones eating
Lunch and the place was deserted except for 3 people
At the bar but the food was really good. The waitress was nice too. I hope this place stays open.

This place is definitely experiencing some growing pains.

Apparently just reopened, all the bartenders stare at you with a scared look in their eyes and the lines are NUTS.  My cousin order a Mai Tai and was served a tequila with cranberry juice -- I'm just not sure  any of them know what's going on.

On the upside though, the bouncers are fantastic and act quickly when drunken douchebags go throwing their drinks around.  Music selection was interesting on the night I was there (Saturday)-- but maybe  it varies from night to night.

If you are there during the day, grab a beer (beware they serve Blue Moon but have no oranges) and sit by the window.  It's great people watching right above Cannery Row.

    This place is back open.

But the service sucks waited almost 40 mins to order a drink and it wasnt even crowded there were maybe 6 ppl at the main bar the bartender just had no idea what she was doing.

I gave one star just for the pool tables and the nice smoking section they have on the deck. If you go you may wanna bring a book to read while you order a drink.

This is the best place to watch the shenanigans that occurs when they shut the streets down to cars and only motorcycles and pedestrians are allowed. When does this happen? For a few years it was the Superbike races. Now it is during MotoGP.

Come early on Saturday and stake out your spot for the evening. Be sure that you have a group of friends so you can take turns walking around and not lose your coveted perch. They also tow cars parked on the main drag so if you drive, find parking elsewhere.

Or just ride your bike down like the rest of the cool kids.
