Probably the only bar near the downtown area that isn't full of people wearing the official Cat uniform--you know, dress pants and light blue button down shirts. The only downside is that it's very hit or miss. Sometimes it is bumping, sometimes no one is there. There is no rhyme or reason to when it's busy or the type of crowd there. Also, drinks in beakers (like from chemistry class).
Review Source:Blue was dropped on Main from Wicker Park in Chicago it seems. Â They have a great selection of beers, from PBR to high in craft drafts. Â You even get them in beakers or cartoon glasses on occasion. Â The place is usually pretty quiet on weeknights, but on weekends the pool tables, board games, and other items are all taken up. Â The jukebox can be best described as eclectic.
Review Source:Writing another review because my first doesnt show up, This is my favorite bar for  hanging out in Peoria. Drinks are served in Kooky cartoon glasses such as smurfs and sometimes you can get beers in a beaker. They have fun board games and nintendo too. Juke box has some good tunes but could use some newer alternative in it. A big plus is there is no rap crap in the jukebox. Decent beer selection for a little place my only complaint is the price for cans of PBR is kind of high but hey they have to make money right. Fun place for 20somes to 60 somes.
Review Source:This has become my favorite bar in Peoria. Â Everything is different from all of the others bars in this town. Â Between the jukebox, board games, 8 bit Nintendo, and the art on the walls lets you know you have found something completely different. Â The crowds are eclectic and very friendly. Â The staff is some of the best in town, and seem intent on being the best at their chosen craft. Â They recently expanded to eight beer taps, and tend to have better beer on tap than most bars in this area. Â
Whenever I decide to have a drink, this is the place that immediately comes to mind.
Stopped in for one late night drink (finally, I live too close to have waited so long). There was a decent crowd at the bar and  some of the tables. It seemed like a mostly younger crowd. There was a wall full of board games. The indoor bike rack seemed to encourage people to commute responsibly to the bar. They serve food, but I didn't get to try an yet, I will return.
Its limited hours are a drawback, but once it is open I would recommend stopping in.
And the Peoria reviews continue! Big things happening in my world y'all.
We decided to stop by after seeing Peter C's review calling Blue "simply the best bar in Peoria"... it's the only bar I experienced, but I'm rather inclined to agree!
Parking is in the back so we entered through the back doors into an awesome dive bar with dim lighting, a random guy playing pool, good music and just one bartender. There were only three customers in there including us so we grabbed a seat there and ordered some drinks. The bartender was actually the owner and he was really nice & told us tons about Peoria and his background. Drinks were cheap and the conversation was great!
The best part? My glass was an old school Pizza Hut signature series glass. So cool. Other than that, I wish I could have stayed long enough to try the juke box. Awesome dive bar!
As close as Peoria comes to a *hipster bar* with funky decor, Â cartoon glasses, even board games for those who are bored of their friends :D (it's actually really fun to read all the Jenga tile dares). Jukebox is full of the owners' personal collection of music starting back in the 70's and up to current but not really what you will expect. Songs cost a quarter just like back in the old days and it's really safe to just punch in random numbers and be happy with what comes on. This area of Main St. is a little schetchy but if you park in the lot out back and come in that way, you can avoid a lot of the patrons of Main St. Liquors that linger out front. They have some theme parties sometimes: a masquarade night and an ugly Xmas sweater party.
One last tip: it's usually always really hot in here in the winter so wear layers!!
This is an awesome bar if you're looking for a place to relax, have fun and socialize with your friends. This is definitely not a rowdy, loud, or dirty bar, the bartenders make sure of that. Â They have comfy plushy chairs, free board games, a pool table, and a jukebox. Â Not to mention the bar itself is something to see, its made out of blue mosaic tiles. Â Don't come here if you're looking to be loud and obnoxious, the atmosphere here is relaxed and inviting.
Review Source:Simply the best bar in peoria. Â Not too loud, not full of douchebags paying a dollar to hit a punching bag and see what number pops up, very fun staff, good music playing, plenty of board games. Â Free parking for the d.d.
First thing I noticed when I went was the mosaic countertop. Â Probably my favorite thing about the bar as well
Easily my favorite place to go in peoria. Â Keep up the good work
