The Boathouse Pub

Great location on the river.  We had fun here on a Saturday afternoon during the down season.  The food was good and plentiful.  My husband had a burger and it got the burger enthusiast's seal of approval.  I had the small shrimp cocktail which is actually a 1/2 pound of large shrimp and was delicious.  The cocktail sauce is spicy but if you like horseradish, amazing.  As for the service, it was hit and miss at the bar but mostly good.  Overall, a nice pub and a fun place to hang out during the afternoon.  My caveat is that we weren't here at night and I can't review how things are after dark.

Great food in very big portions. The burgers were delicious but all the dishes around us looked fantastic, especially the tuna salad with nice slices of red raw tuna. The best reason to visit this place is the location...sitting outside on the creek watching the water and enjoying some beers or wine

Just popped in today for a few drinks.  The waitress seemed put out by this news, then steered us clear of any nice water front seats.  The place was place was empty, it was 4:00 on a Wednesday summer day.  

This type of service puts me off a place.  We are staying all week and this place is 20 steps from the townhouse we are renting.  We would have dropped a packet there  .... If we went back.  Their loss.

The positive; my regional ale was fresh and cold.
