my boyfriend told me his band was playing in a bar...i didn't know it would be a hole in the wall. owner is very nice, micheladas are super bomb. as in, i had 4. this place is really small & divey but i loved how homey the atmosphere was.

This is a great spot now!!!  Bartenders are pretty good.......look for Chavonne on tues and thursdays.... she is the best!!  ( and easy on the eyes! )  specialty drinks and vodkas too..........yum!

Defined by a plain non-descript building touting a prominent sign that simply says "B E E R".  I never knew the name of this place when I was kid and just called the place BEER jokingly.  We even called the place BEER when we started frequenting this place as barely legal adults.

This place has been around forever.... Since 1958 if I'm not mistaken.  It's a straight beer/wine bar so don't expect much more than that.  Restrooms are clean and the service is great. Domestic 2.50 bottles on Tuesday, Karaoke or a band on Saturday  and Friday's chili dog day! Pool cues are straight and there's no rips in the table.  The juke box keeps you going if you feel like funding it.  The crowd is mellow and it's just a great place to have a beer with your boys and unwind with out being around a bunch of yuppie fools.  Beware it's Baldwin Park...  If you're not local it could be a little rough around the block for you.
