This used to be my fav Rodizio in the area. Not sure what happened but the quality of the meat went down tremendously. Not sure if they have changed their meat suppliers but the last time I was here, the rodizio tasted differently and not in a good way. Will revisit to see if they have made any improvements.
Review Source:I have come to a realization perhaps a bit late in the game that I absolutely, 100%, without shame nor doubt ..... I completely adore, and somewhat IDOLIZE South American culture.
No, actually....Mexico and below. Â And the Caribbean - for sure.
I am enthralled by the many splendors of said cultures; here, in Northern NJ, we should thank our lucky stars, each and every day, that we are the home to a huge Brazilian population.
Sat at the bar - got a caipirinha - I got drunk, my lovely Brazilian bartender lady made it STIFF, when i inquired why so heavy on the booze....she said she thought I was Colombian, and Colombian girls love their drinks muy fuerte, or something....I was flattered!!!!...heres some hot Brazilian chick forcing me to get intoxicated by falsely assuming I was of Colombian descent, because apparently Colombian chicks are bad-asses. Â Word.
I had a very enjoyable time on this lovely evening in Newark with a few companions! Â The 100 other people who surrounded me seemed to concur. Â Oh, we did get Rodizio, not bad, not bad......Medium-ish skewered Filet Mignon is always a good choice.
This bar was vivacious, spicy....caliente, baby. Â (I know 0 Portuguese, so please, just amuse me...). Â Really, the patrons were fun - friendly - and super laid-back. Â Douchebag radar was not alerting me of any, in the immediate vicinity. Â As a side-note, I have also come to this conclusion as of late: the bars that suck the worst are the ones ones that are filled with life-sucking, zombi-fied, too-freaking-cool-for-school BUTTHEADS. Â Yeah, I said it. Â When you walk into this particular kind of bar, you are immediately greeted by a sea of ass-face. Â No-dice, son. Â Peace.
It was a Saturday night with the guys from the firehouse and we were looking to do an all out feast. A friend recommended this place as we were driving into Newark. I yelped this place and saw it got mixed reviews. I was very skeptical but since my friend experienced a great rodizio dinner in the past, I wanted to try it. Boy, was I glad we came to this spot. Great food, great service, and best of all, great atmosphere. The only reason for the 4 star is because I am basing this off of 1 experience. I would definetly go back and hopefully upgrade it to a 5 star.
