I came here on a week night with a friend for a bite to eat. It was fairly busy, and service was decent. I didn't have a pizza, as the server suggest not ordering the gluten free crust, but my friend got the Buffalo Chicken pizza and seemed to enjoy it. I got the Greek Salad with Chicken and it was a nice salad. I liked that it had a lot of kalamata olives. Nothing really stood out as fantastic to me, but I would like to try this place again.
Review Source:Ok. Â So a coworker recommended this place. Â Exact quote: "good beer, good pizza, good night". Â
I was actually reading the Yelp reviews while we were at the bar waiting for a table. Â Wow, not so good. Â First tip, if you don't have kids, let them know that a bar table is OK...there are booths and tables galore in the bar. Â The hostess told us 30 minutes, we waited 10 for a nice booth/table combo. Â A rather nice surprise. Â
The pizza was very good. Â We had the Tony's Supremo w/o black olives. Â I know there are pizzas that are better than others, however, if you're looking for a weekend to relax, have a beer, and eat a pizza, this is the place. Â Keep in mind, that you are going to a restaurant/bar/taproom. Â Some of the reviews on here really don't respect the RESTAURANT part of the description. We sat in the bar, and yes, I could here children crying and kids yelling and screaming, but the sign didn't say "no kids allowed'...they like pizza too. Â Anyway, if you want that, go to a bar. Â
On another note, our waiter was fabulous. Â He was very knowledgable about beers and all of the pizzas ...we didn't wait. Â I'm not sure if other reviewers have been in the dining room, or what, but our experience was good.
In retro, what are we going to BoomBozz Pizza for? Â Pizza, beer, and good times. Â Give it a rest about the noise, the kids, the wait staff, etc...it's busy and crowded, if it wasn't good, that wouldn't be the case, so stop complaining. Â If you want quiet, go to Peterson's. Â

2 Stars?--3 Stars?2 Stars?--3 Stars?2 Stars?--3 Stars????
This was the fight I had with myself.
Like Christy B said. I wanted to like this place so bad! Sadly, compared to the other great Pizza Places of Carmel this was sorely lacking.
Matt B.'s words echo in my head, "I wish i would have saved my money for Chipotle!
The Reason I wanted to like them?
*23/24 Tap options are local (that's what my sever told me anyway...I didn't get to see for myself). Â This is what made me waver between the 2-3 stars.
*Atmosphere was a fun rustic urban feel, plenty of TV's-you know the drill typical pizza place.
What changed my mind?
I know I tend to picky when it comes down to service. I have to remind myself often, this is just a pub, or just a pizza place. But here is what I ask:
*Check/Order Accuracy
*Plenty O Water (I tend be a water hog-I know-fluids are important though :)
*Bright Smile-Make me feel like you want me here.
*Good Listener-(sounds like I'm looking for a blind date..goodness)
So service, I am afraid wasn't quite any of these. The presentation of the menu and the description of his recommendations were fantastic! Started off with a great big smile and a hearty greeting. He made me really excited to be there! Lofted up the Tennis Ball high into the air for a brilliant career breaking serve--and then let the ball drop and roll off the court. **Womp Womp** So sad, because he started off so well. I think I only had my water filled twice. I had asked  for lemon, but it was forgotten (not really a big deal). I ordered a bun-less Meatball and Marinara sandwich that was 7.99. It came and my entire table looked at it and said, "That's it!" And surprise surprise, it came with a bun. I mentioned it to the server but he seemed less than concerned. I am not sure what I was paying for because the meatballs that I got were probably only 6 meatballs that were halved to look like more...I don't know what the portion was but if I had to guess it was probably only 5 to 7 oz of meat.
It terms of personality, our server was great! He was fun and easy going, ready to "get the party started". He was fun he really was. But for 9:30 at night with barren sections I expected more attention to our 7 top table.
The nachos were made atop house made potato chips...the dipping sauces were fun.
Mon-Friday after 9pm most of the appetizers are only $5.
This probably a place to hang with the guys and catch the game, but I don't' think I would make Mrs. F endure service like this again.
I hope that you find the 3 stars I left out in your experience. I know it can always be hit or miss with Pizza places in general. I wish you the best, dear Yelpers, in your quest to find a venerable Pizza Place with honorable service.
