Didn't even know this place was here. I love trying out new places.
Excellent food! Good quality ingredients. Good service all throughout our meal, until it came time to get our check. Dunno where he went. But everything was so super, including the service up til that point that I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt. Nice decor. Clean.

We've been here four times in the last month and the food has been great.  James is also the best server we've had anywhere in a long time.  Steak skewers are awesome, we have to get them every time.  The flatbread is also wonderful.  This is our new favorite casual place in the Allen, TX area.

Basically a chili's that serves pizza. Quality of pizza resembles something out of the frozen food section and fresh squeezed drinks may be freshly thawed. Good service just terrible food.

Service was excellent! I will ask for Mike every time we dine there. It would have been a perfect visit, but the wings were really fatty. Great job Mike!!

yummy nachos. The menu offered something for EVERYONE when I expected to jst see pizza! To play it safe, though, I ordered a pizza for my entree. It was delicious. Will go again when I get another coupon in the mail.

Best to just pass on this place and leave it to be patronized by the many families that come by who participate in the games on the softball, baseball and soccer fields across the street.

Simple food, simple bar. There's nothing stand-out about any Boston's location, but it's pretty consistent on food, service, and provides average drink quality. The mixed drinks they serve could be stronger in my opinion, and I'm curious to wonder how much they water them down, but if you're looking for a place to hang out comfortable, watch the game, and enjoy a beer with some bar snack type food (or a pizza) this is a good place to go.

This place is anything but gourmet!  I am occassionally forced to eat here for convenient meeting and each time I am further disgusted with this "restaurant".  It seems like they simply have off the street people overcooking Sysco food products.

The only equivalent I can think of to Bostons is Chili's without the few quality controls that Chilis employs. It is really that bad.

    In a word, awful.

Boston's suffers from a Jekyll and Hyde identity problem.  The menu selection is extensive and appetizing.  Beer options are better than most of their competition (plenty of on tap and bottled selections).  Service when it's not busy is good and the food we've ordered has always come out as expected.

On our most recent visit, we were disappointed.  It was a Friday night and the bar was busy.  When we asked our server what beer they had, he said "pretty much everything."  If you work in the bar, you should at least know the beer offerings.  Yes, we could open up the drink menu to see the list (and we did), but that's just laziness for the server.  It also took him about 10 minutes to come back around.  Service was pretty much "meh" that whole night.

In general, we like the place and it's better than some other sports bars in the area.  We will go again, but we hope they can improve the consistency of the service to earn four or five stars.

First trip to Boston's...may  or may not be my last.  The menu selection would be worth a trip back, however the service was sub par, and I wasn't a big fan of the pizza sauce.  While we could see a super star server taking care of her section, our server was rarely to be seen.  My soda glass was empty for way too long, then he asked if I wanted a refill...kinda a silly question.  The pizza was ok, the price was decent...but not sure it would be worth a second trip.

I went as part of an S2000 meet and it had a huge parking lot to accommodate a ton of cars.

I've been to many a pizza place, and while it's a step above a chain delivery place it's not that special. The service was quick and the menu is diverse, but I don't really see myself dying to come back.

The pizza was great.....really, really great. We got the sausage and peppers pizza and a pepperoni pizza. Both were excellent. We also ordered the steak skewers appetizer. They were very over done...would have been really good if cooked properly. Next time I will specify not burned! LOL...the reason I am giving the 3 stars is the waitress....I honestly felt like we were bothering her. Her loss really though....I left $5...normally I tip around $15. Drinks were refilled occasionally by some poor guys she had doing her job for her and everything we had a question or needed anything I was almost scared to ask. For a place with this expensive of food you really expect better service.

Since our initial visit, we've been back a couple of times, and have had better experiences. The pizza really does shine here, with quality ingredients and good crust, but other dishes just don't consistently fare as well.

Come here if you want pizza and beer, and maybe catch some sports on the big TVs, and you're likely to not be disappointed.

They serve gluten free pizza and its best I've had!! So many toppings to choice from. Great salads, too. Perfect place to watch a game and it's smoke free, which is nice.

I love pizza and had always been curious about Boston's. It's close by and open late and finally one night a few months ago we gave it a try. We ordered 2 different pizzas and they were just ok. The bill came and I remember feeling guilty for spending so much on unsatisfying pizza. I left disappointed but thinking I'd give Boston's another try.... Last weekend we went for another late evening run to Boston's. We ordered a different type of pizza, thinking we might like another style better.  The sauce on this one was horrible. We love pizza, and I'm not a picky eater, but neither of us were fans of our food. I tried drowning out the flavor with extra Parmesan cheese and a side of marinara but even that didn't help enough.    I took home a lot of leftovers but couldn't bring myself to eat it this week. What a waste of $... Actually, while sitting in Boston's the thought crossed my mind that I'd rather be at home with a frozen pizza! Based on lame, over priced pizza and salad and a bland atmosphere I'd say 2 stars. I won't be back

This is a good little restaurant on 121 and is very convenient - lots of TVs for sports, bar is cool, and food is ok.  Nothing special, but a good little place

Basic Sysco food products. Nothing here you haven't seen a hundred other times at other generic chains. Primary focus on low overhead/high markup foods (pasta and pizza)

We went here as part of a birthday party and had a large group. They delegated two servers to our party, and I don't think they gave us the pick of the litter. I ordered a "Hard Cherry Cola" off their drink menu, and I guess the guy didn't hear me correctly because he brought me a Pepsi with grenadine in it. When I alerted him to the error, he was dumbfounded and had no idea what a "Hard Cherry Cola" was, so I had to point it out in the drink menu. He apologized and said he'd be back with it. 20 minutes later, when I was one of only 2 people still without a drink (the poor guy across from me didn't get his first drink until AFTER the food came, about 45 minutes!), I reminded the server that I still didn't have my drink. He said, "Don't worry, I just put the order in." Don't worry?! I think I SHOULD be worried if it took him 20 minutes just to put the order in! Maybe he was new.

We couldn't stay long, so we just ordered the Cactus Cuts appetizer. Lo and behold, it's wasn't french fries as we expected, but rather what looked and tasted basically like barbeque potato chips with a dip. For $6. Seriously?

Simply put, this place was a waste of time and money. We were there for 45 minutes, and it took all of that time just to manage to get one drink each and an appetizer. By then, we were ready to get out!

4 and a half stars and it only loses a half star for being a chain.

We stopped at Boston's before going to the movies a block down the way. I didn't have a huge appetite so I opted for a salad and I was still the envy of everyone.  The Santa Fe salad with steak strips is a great looking meal and big.  My husband ordered a burger and it came well done.  It appears that you have to specifically request a burger to be cooked to anything rarer.  My steak strips were perfectly medium rare.

Odd, I am from Boston and the first time I was in a Boston Pizza was in Ottawa. Did I mention that there are no Boston Pizza's in Boston or Massachusetts for that matter? Not the point, I know.
Stopped in tonight and was surprised at how many people were there on a blah Wednesday night.  Friendly crowd going on in the sectioned off smoking bar. Good variety of draft and bottled beers (they had Sam Summer on tap!) and friendly bartenders.
I got an order of Buffalo wings which were somewhere between blah and o.k. I know not to order those again, I liked their menu because it had variety with out  being all over the map. For an entree I had baked penne with Italian sausage and melted mozzarella cheese. They serve a  bread like item with it and it is not worth the energy of picking it up off the plate.
What made the experience worth while was the staff, who were very helpful, nice and just all around cool. If I went to a different location would I get the same service? Doubtful but hopeful. This is a place to go and have a few beers, catch the game on T.V. have a decent meal with options that are not limited to  burgers with great service.
There is also outdoor seating and a full dining room. I did see someone sitting in the bar area with their child (maybe a 12 year old) which I thought was a little to young for some of the conversations and the drunk group celebrating a birthday. Yeah, I will be going back but I won't go out of my way and if there is a Texas related sporting event on I will just stay away. I think roundy round (NASCAR) counts as a Texas event, right?

Boston's Gourmet Pizza is part of a (inter)national chain with several locations in Texas. In spite of the name it got its start in Canada. We had frequently driven by with a "let's try that some day" attitude and finally decided to give it a whirl. We're very glad we did.

In spite of the name the menu is diverse and has something for everyone. Starting with pizza - the selection is varied and definitely includes gourmet options as well as the "old standbys". There are a large number of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pasta, meat and seafood dishes to choose from.

In our visit we started with the potato skin appetizer at my wife's suggestion. I love  them done right but haven't ordered them in years as at most places they are a mess. But Boston's skins were great. Not greasy and with ample bacon on top. We next shared a medium pizza (don't remember the name but it included pepperoni, smoked ham (aka canadian bacon), mushrooms and bell pepper). It tasted delicious and each ingredient, with the exception of the mushroom, stood out on it's own - the sauce, pepperoni, ham and bell pepper each had a great taste. The mushroom were hard detect under the cheese and the taste was nearly hidden by the other ingredients. That said we really enjoyed the pizza.

The decor is upscale. There is an outdoor patio, and glassed in smoking bar, as well as a dining room. We will definitely be back - this place is an oasis on the west side of McKinney at the Allen border. This is one of the few new places we have tried "up north" that left us anxious to plan a return visit.
