Been here a few times for happy hour. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment, or I hoped the service would get better. Â The service is terrible even when the place is empty... Today was the first time I was actually humiliated by my wait staff. Â He told my entire party 8+ people, "that their checks would be awhile because I told him, that it was all on one check." Which I did not do... And then he argued with me about it. Â Which should have been a mute point when I said I'm sorry, I did not say that. He should have happily divided our tabs up. Â Since, there was oh three other tables in the whole bar.. Ad 4 to 5 people on staff, you would think this was possible. So rude and embarrassing. Â There was also drinks spilt, no apology or napkin to clean up, and chips and salsa took over 20 minutes... and it's salsa from a can.
Review Source:My wife and I found this place by happenstance, as it is next door to our Veterinarian. Don't let the small front glass facade fool you, the place is very large, with a nice bar, ample seating area, large TVs, and pool tables. What impressed me most was the very large number of beers and ciders in bottles in the giant refrigerator behind the bar. They had an ample selection of hard liquor and wines as well.
Mike, the bartender was very helpful. Although my wife only had cider and wine, we will be back to try the food. The place seemed like a great local hangout and had a good vibe.
I have been to Johnny Ice House just a few times after our softball games Friday night. Â The last 2 times the bar was fairly empty (on a Friday night) and the wait staff was awful. Â Getting very simple beer orders wrong as well with constantly running out of beer choices. Â I had a very common beer and when I ordered my 3rd they told me they ran out. Â The waitress we had was clearly intoxicated and even admitted doing shots in the bathroom. Â It was very bad service and unfortunately I would rather go somewhere else to have a beer after a game if this is what we get.
