Been here a few times for happy hour. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment, or I hoped the service would get better. Â The service is terrible even when the place is empty... Today was the first time I was actually humiliated by my wait staff. Â He told my entire party 8+ people, "that their checks would be awhile because I told him, that it was all on one check." Which I did not do... And then he argued with me about it. Â Which should have been a mute point when I said I'm sorry, I did not say that. He should have happily divided our tabs up. Â Since, there was oh three other tables in the whole bar.. Ad 4 to 5 people on staff, you would think this was possible. So rude and embarrassing. Â There was also drinks spilt, no apology or napkin to clean up, and chips and salsa took over 20 minutes... and it's salsa from a can.
Review Source:My wife and I found this place by happenstance, as it is next door to our Veterinarian. Don't let the small front glass facade fool you, the place is very large, with a nice bar, ample seating area, large TVs, and pool tables. What impressed me most was the very large number of beers and ciders in bottles in the giant refrigerator behind the bar. They had an ample selection of hard liquor and wines as well.
Mike, the bartender was very helpful. Although my wife only had cider and wine, we will be back to try the food. The place seemed like a great local hangout and had a good vibe.
I have been to Johnny Ice House just a few times after our softball games Friday night. Â The last 2 times the bar was fairly empty (on a Friday night) and the wait staff was awful. Â Getting very simple beer orders wrong as well with constantly running out of beer choices. Â I had a very common beer and when I ordered my 3rd they told me they ran out. Â The waitress we had was clearly intoxicated and even admitted doing shots in the bathroom. Â It was very bad service and unfortunately I would rather go somewhere else to have a beer after a game if this is what we get.
Review Source:We like Johnny's...music isn't too loud, always good service. Decent Happy Hour Prices. Lots of TV's with a Big Screen that is easy to see from just about anywhere. Probably our favorite Happy Hour bar in Frisco. There are always people, but it never seems crowded. DukeofRealEstate@gmail.c…
Review Source:We went for the first time Saturday evening and so wanted to like the place because it is just a short walk from our house--thus a true neighborhood bar and grill. Â The place was just okay. Â The place is surprisingly large for being in a strip center but the concrete flooring and open warehouse-type ceiling makes for a loud environment. Â I would be interested in how the live bands sound. Â One was setting up while we were dining and they were supposed to start at 7:30 but were running late and we left before they played. Â We both had the burgers and the side of tomato basil soup. My husband ordered his burger medium and I ordered mine medium-well. Â A bad sign is when the patty is smaller than the bun and they were both cooked medium-well and a bit crunchy on the edges. Â At $9.25-way overpriced. Â The soup was good but wished it had been served a bit hotter so I did not have to rush to eat it before it got cold.
Service was just okay. Â I give the waiter credit for pointing out that we still had time for happy hour drink specials as I don't find many places that like push this fact. Not having draft beer is a negative and I don't know what they offered in bottles, as we were not given a beer menu. Â The drink menu we looked at had wine on one side and cocktail drinks on the other. Â The cocktail drinks were of absolute no interest to me as they all contained off-beat vodka flavors. Â
We may give this place another chance only because they are near our neighborhood but we both agreed will never order the burger again.
Great neighbourhood bar. Â They have lots of beer choices and even a beer club that lets you get discounts on food. Â No beer on tap. Â They have lots' of TV's to watch sports but don't sit at the bar if that's why you came in, no TV's to view behind the bar. Â Grab a table and Colliene will hook you up! Â They have a short but good menu selection, I've had the turkey burger a few times, it's good. Â They have live music on the weekends. Â I would say it's kid friendly until the band strikes up around 7:00 on the weekends.
Review Source:Nice neighborhood bar to hang out in. Over 100 beers to choose from, and they have their own beer club where you can get prizes and discounts by working your way through them all. Wish they had draft beer, but the bottle beer selection is outstanding.
They have a one-page menu, making their food selection pretty limited. However the food they offer has always been great - whether from their "Be Good" (healthier) side or their "Be Bad" (more bar food) side. From hummus to soup to hamburgers to sandwiches, it's simply good. And they do offer a kid's section, although I believe this place is more of an adult setting.
They have a poker tournament on Monday nights, a pool table, foosball, darts, and plenty of TVs to watch the game on. If you have some work to do while at the bar, they do offer password-protected WiFi. And their staff has always been friendly to me. Great place to hang out for a night.
Fun local spot for area residents. Lots and lots of choices for beer! I don't drink, but owner ran over to Pizza Hut to get a bottle of Diet Pepsi so ould have beverage of my choice Kewl! Menu is limited, but all items are brought in daily and made fresh from scratch. So you may have to wait a bit on your Hummus appetizer, but you will enjoy.
A fun friendly spot on the east side of Preston Road.
We have been there a couple of times. Behind Family Video, down a couple doors from Pizza hut to go./
Check them out!
Lotta "no's" about this place, few "yes's"
No beers on tap, none, which is kinda a disappointment. All beers here are bottled ranging from 4.25-6.75. Served ice cold.
No fryer? No fries with your burger. No onion rings. No wings?!?! Humus is on the menu too? This is a bar isn't it???
$10 burger. Average, taste like butter. Over priced for the quality.
On the bright side, the service was awesome. But I don't think I'll be coming back. Sorry Johnny.
