I used to love this place, back when I was young and didn't know any better. Â I think the only business this place gets are locals who come out of habit, or folks trying to re-live their younger glory days when this place was cooler. Â Brannigans used to have a dart board, but replaced it with some odd booth setup. Â I wish they replaced their frustrating cash-only policy! Â Anyway, the last time I came here, some of the staff were absolute dicks to me and my friends for "being loud." Â So come here if you want to get yelled at for having fun! Â Or if you want to experience the worst bathroom in Red Bank!
Review Source:All of the previous reviews of Brannigan's are right on spot.
Brannigan's is what it is .... Â a dive-y bar. It doesn't pretend to be anything else. Â If you like dive-y-bar's then this is your place to go. Â I'm not really sure there is anything to complain about. Â It is what it is and as long as you know what to expect before you walk in the door, you will be happy at this place. Â I found the bartenders to be perfectly friendly, attentive and they all had a sense of humor. Â
Unfortunately, for me, this is definitely not my type of place or crowd, which is why I'm giving it only three stars. Â I'm far more comfortable over at the Globe directly across Front Street. Â
Brannigan's caters to a younger crowd, but even when I was younger, I didn't really feel comfortable here. I only came here this time because the Globe insists on having music on Thursday nights which is something I will never understand. Â No one is coming to the Globe for music!
Anyway, I'd never choose to come to Brannigan's on my own unless I driven out of the Globe by their odd Thursday night entertainment choices. Â But to each his or her own! Â If you like these type of places, you'll feel right at home here at Brannigan's.
