My husband and I were in town to see a concert at the Count Basie and wanted to check out a happy hour in Red Bank. After several searches, Tommy's made its way to the top of our list.

We were not disappointed. Half off drafts and 2 for $10 personal pizzas were huge drawing points. In addition to have a pretty decent beer selection, who can complain about paying under $3 for a good beer! We both got the margarita pizza which hit the spot. A tasty little pie that was perfect sized as a pre-concert meal (not too filling but just filling enough). Our friends got some toppings on their pizzas and seemed to enjoy them as well.

The restaurant is located in the Galleria in a space formerly home to a dance studio I would rehearse at during my high school years. The sentimentality was an added bonus to an an expensive and tasty meal.

The pizza is good. However, when the word 'Pizza' is in your name it should be better, it should be outstanding. In comparing it to the other true pizza joints in Red Bank (not Domino's) it's middle of road at best. I've gone a few times now and it amazes me how one can burn the edge of a pizza but the center is uncooked, also use better quality sausage and pepperoni and lastly please don't give me heirloom tomatoes and call them San Marzano. I will say the wait staff was very good as were the appetizers and salads. I think the pizza is the let down on the menu; that's the problem, everything else is very good. However this IS a pizza based restaurant so I give it 3 stars. If they billed themselves as 'Italian food' I'd go 4 stars. Until they can compete with the other Pizza restaurant's in Red Bank that's were they stay in my opinion. The ownership should get a pizza to go from each Pizza place in Red Bank and take note of the quality and ingredients used and make changes or take the word 'Pizza' out of your name.

Wow... that's where I stand.  Having gone to Tommy's quite a few times since they opened in the Galleria, boy was this past time a let down.  It was this past Sunday night- decided to order pizza and the Chopped Salad to go.  We ordered the Gluten Free- which is only 12" and is $14(I knew this going in but was expecting it to at least be good).  I get that these things cost money but come on... In any event- we requested it to be crispy and well done.  What we got was burnt edges and (I can't make this up) raw middle.  The dough was almost still liquid.  To top it off, our "Italian Chopped Salad" wasn't chopped!  It was all of the ingredients thrown into a to go bowl, but not chopped up!  That's not a 'chopped salad' that's a salad!  Maybe I'm getting picky in my old age, but they used to be much better.
