The place is a chain, so you can't really go wrong with the food. Â I love BWW, and the wings are pretty much the same as you would find at any other BWW. Â Why two stars? Â The service sucks. Â First, the hostess gave us a table that was still obviously dirty. Â My friend actually had to say something, to prompt her to clean the table. Â She wipes the table down and then leaves - doesn't even distribute the menus or utensils. Â Now, our waiter. Â He came pretty promptly after the hostess left, got our drinks and brought them back. Â We placed our orders, and it was about 20 minutes before our food showed up. Â I'm not sure where the error was, but some of the orders came out differently than we had ordered. Â They fixed it, which is fine. Â However, the biggest surprise of the night, was when he came to check on us. Â My friend asked for one thing, and he left to get it. Â He returned, and I asked if he could refill my water. Â Before he left, he replied - does anyone ELSE need anything before I leave? Â Really? Â Aside from this one attempt to check on us, he didn't bother coming back again. Â And at the end of the meal, when he comes by with the checks, I ask for a box, which I had to later ask again for. Â I don't complain about service much, but when its THAT bad, it just pisses me off.
Review Source:When I come to visit Waukegan this is my go to place on my way from the airport.
The food is standard BWW fare, which means, in a word, delicious. Â My favorites are the boneless wings with Parmesan Garlic sauce and the queso dip. Prices are reasonable for what you get.
The service here is consistently above average. Â The servers are all kind and chatty, quick to apologize if a mistake is made, and always fast. Â There are many TV's with the nights games on if that interests you.
We sat down and gave our orders. The one member of my party asked for regular cheese instead of queso on her wrap, which she was told that it "defeated the purpose of what you are ordering". Very rude. After taking our orders our waiter disappeared for a long time. Our food was brought out by someone else, the orders for two at our table were incorrect and we asked for it to be corrected and the employee was visibly mad that we questioned it. She fixed it. By the time we had our food all our drinks had been empty for a long time. Our waiter never came by to see how the food was or offer more beverages, he walked by and one girl asked for another and he shook his finger at her! I could have used more ranch particularly since I didn't have a drink but I figured at that point I didn't dare ask for anything! He eventually came by to get drinks, and did them one at a time, and walked away again with only half of them getting refills. One member of our party is pregnant and was very thirsty so I got up and refilled her drink for her since the waiters were all pretty busy talking in the kitchen. We finally got our checks and one member of our party went up to speak with the manager, which I thought he'd come by and apologize to the table, but he went and talked to the girl who was not our waiter and made her come over and apologize for being rude. Which she did but at that point we'd experienced rude, slow, and just plain awful service so it hardly helped. I'll also say we were one of only 3 tables in the place, and there were about 8 or 9 waiters, plus other employees, so its not like they were understaffed for the amount of customers in the place. I have only been to a Buffalo Wild Wings once before, and it was ok, this was only my second time and I don't see myself going back anytime soon, certainly not to this location. Worst service ever.
I will say that the food was ok, nothing special but nothing great. But considering the rude service I would have been better off going to the Chipotle or Chili's nearby.
I love BDUBS...delicious wings and they have great deals at times like boneless wing Thursday. We usually call in our order ahead of time and pick it up for delivery. They can be a bit busy at times. Good food. I love their honey BBQ and their buffalo chips with queso on them. The only problem we've had is that they've counted wrong with our wings and we've been shortened. The manager was gracious the next time and gave us some free wings...
Review Source:Went there on a Wednesday night. At around 1030pm. Place seemed very empty, compared to BWW at village crossing or elhurst. We ordered the ribs and more ribs, and I was very disaapointed. The ribs tasted like they were microwaved, they didn't taste fresh off the grill, and the sauce lacked consistency. After 3 bites I couldn't take anymore I lost appetite, and just had beer. The flavor of their ribs definitely tastes diffrent compared to the other locations. At least the beer filled me up. I wud reccomend u stick to wings.
Review Source:Their mixed drinks are weak and tasteless, stick to beer or soda pop. Â The atmosphere is a sports bar, so you know what you're getting into. Â The service is adequate, but what bothers me about this place is the lack of consistency when it comes to the food. Â One day the wings will be soggy and disgusting, the next they'll be perfect. Â And this goes for their entire menu. Â If they could improve in that one area, they'd really be able to knock it out of the park.
Review Source:Watched the Bears game (or lack thereof) yesterday. Â Our server (Justine) was very friendly, polite, and attentive.
The food was standard, and was delivered to our table quickly. Â The restaurant and restrooms were clean, and the place was busy, I assume because of football.
I'm going to be taking a break from bdubs for awhile, but this location was one of the nicer ones I've been to. Â And props to Justine, she was great.
A good time to be had here. Plenty of TV's if there is a good sporting event to see. The trivia game is an options as well. Usually they offer it to you but if not, you can ask for it and it will be brought.
If you order the wings, this is a wing joint remember, there is like 15 options on how hot you want them.
There are 2 wing nights too. Call to see what they are as I had the super hot wings and fried my brain. But they were very good!!!
There are plenty of options if you don't want wings too, but why would you come to a wing place and order something else?
Of course they serve liquor....I did say TV's and sports right?
This place seemed to be the hot spot for Sailors, me being one I had to check it out. Strange location? I noticed the smaller towns in the North Chicago area are vastly spread out, no town center or main street to stroll down, Â just very isolated. Luckily taxi fair isn't expensive in this area if you know the right cabby's, so off I went. ( I'd been here several time while I was at Great Lakes and I usually show up on a Sunday)
On the spot i noticed the excess amount of Tv's and big screens (awesome) the place was a bit crowded, but it was a Bears game.
I ordered their traditional hot wings and some honey bbq wings. i'm gonna tell you flat out you're probably not going to try all their flavors in one trip so my favorites are:Sweet BBQ, Medium, Honey BBQ, Asian Zing and Caribbean Jerk. Great Atmosphere if you're a sports fan and good beer selections too!
B' Dubs you're just not the same in Norfolk!
big variety of wings, its like a sports bar that tries to keep families coming too. Â come here after flag football, get the wednesday 50 cent legs, do some karaoke hahaha. Â this is a boonie area...some of our wings were really bloody, and we had to send them back a few times, and we had to ask to have them comp it, which they didnt even end up doing but i didnt cry over a couple bucks. Â u can have fun in this boonie joint.
Review Source:I personally LOVE this BDubs! I go with my husband and 2 little kids 1-2 times per week and the food in consistently great and the service is MUCH improved since they opened early 2008.
Our favorites are the Buffalo Ranch Chicken Wrap, the kids Corn Dog Nuggets or Chicken Tenders, and the BBQ Chicken Flatbread.
There are plenty of TV's (sports and NTN trivia) and video games to keep our 2 yr old boy entertained, and they always give us crayons and a cute kid's menu just in case those don't do the trick.
Watch out for seating around noon on weekdays. There are a few big companies nearby that take lunch at that time and this place gets packed. Show up at 11:30 and you are golden!
And, don't forget to get your last soda refill in a to-go cup! They are HUGE and awesome to take home or back to work.
This location SUCKS! I've been to the location in Skokie and its usually pretty good, although a time or two has been bad there. But I've tried this location three times and every time was horrible. The service is horrible. I wonder why each waiter has a million tables and is not able to handle one. The boneless wings were chewy, bland, and cold everytime. One day they were just hard as rocks and I thought I would break my tooth eating them. And I hope you don't drink alot of pop, because you may NEVER be able to actually get a refill. And when I finally agreed to let my daughter order dessert, they didn't have any. Skip this place!
UPDATE: I tried this place again since a few people from work wanted to go for lunch. We didn't order anything special, but it took almost an hour to get our food. I will second my first sentiment: Skip this place!
Whoever thought it was a good idea to bring a party of 10 to Buffalo Wild Wings at noon on a weekday without a reservation was for sure smoking something. Â On top of that it was 50 cent boneless wing day! Arghhhh!
A party of 8 was seated in the dining room and the remaining two in our party sat together at the bar. Â Everybody took advantage of the 50 cents boneless wing special. BW3s requires that you order a minimum of 5 wings per sauce. Subsequently, I went with 5 each of the Mango Habenero and Spicy Garlic. Â The Habanero overpowered the Mango to a point where you couldn't pick up any of the sweetness to balance out the spice. Â The Spicy Garlic has been my favorite dating back to my days at DePaul and it was just as I remembered it garlicky and spicy. Â I typically like all things deep fried, but these boneless wings just tasted like sauce. Â If the sauces had unbelievably complex flavor profiles that were well balanced I'd be able to get behind them, but they didn't. Â Also, these "boneless wings" were tiny! Â Another complaint was that they served everybody's wings in disposable containers. Â Now that I'm recycling I find most all things disposable to be offensive. Â Goooooooooooooooooooooo Earth! Â Maybe I'm just dissecting my experience too much or maybe I just don't like wings. Â Either which way I didn't like my lunch. Â
The restaurant itself is large and has plenty of televisions to watch the game of the day. Â The service was quick, friendly, and mostly accurate. Â
