Buffet King

I will normally avoid buffets of any kind but we were shopping in the plaza and the kid was hungry and agreed to Chinese so we tried this place.  Mistake #1.  We went in and asked for a booth, which are along the wall.  Mistake #2.  
The food was mostly ok.  Some looked old.  I watched which ones they were making and refilling and ate the fresher stuff.  Ice cream for the kids.  The deserts were typical, pre made stuff.  
The most surprising part was the free entertainment that was provided with the booth seating!  We got to watch a cockroach walk along the wall the length of our booth, to the next booth then drop down onto the seat of the unsuspecting person sitting there.  They didn't notice, which was a shame.  
Needless to say, won't be back.

update to 02/12  it's closed.  no surprise there!

Just moved to Springfield.  Went here because of another yelp review.  Definitely did not live up to my expectations.

They appeared to be under-staffed.  No one was at the hibachi grill and the lights were off.  Sushi and raw ingredients for hibachi looked old and not safe to eat.  

Food from the buffet warmers was just okay.

Sadly, a water and buffet on Sunday cost almost $12.  Very disappointed.  

Maybe it would have been better at a busier time when more staff was working?

I normally hate buffets, but come after 4pm for dinner or on a Sunday and you can eat unlimited crab legs (snow crab) with butter. The have salmon, normal Chinese-American food, sushi, fruits, salads and seafood. They also have little cakes for desert and you can get an ice cream cone. Great to go to if you're really hungry.
