The Bunker Bar and Grill

This is the old Goodfella's B&G. The ownership and menu remain the same. Only the name has been changed to protect the innocent. (Or something like that.)

SWMBO ordered a Turkey Grinder. They start with an open faced Hoagie Roll, put sliced Turkey Meat (The real deal not that chewed and glued stuff many places try to pass off these days.) on one side and a generous amount of Cheddar Cheese on the other then run it through the Pizza oven to toast it up and melt the Cheese. Then they add Bacon, chilled Lettuce, Tomato and Red Onion. They serve the Mayo on the side so you can use as much or as little as suits your fancy. Your side options are Fries, Tots or a Garden Salad. Carol opted for the Tots. She said it all was good.

I had heard about their fresh in-house-ground Burgers so my mind was made up for me. I had a Bleu Cheese Burger and the Garden Salad. This hand spanked fresh-ground Patty was bursting with flavor. I think the liberal mound of crumbly Bleu Cheese was held in place by just a little Bleu Cheese Dressing so it stayed in the Burger. It was topped off with Lettuce, Tomato and Red Onion and nestled in a big tasty Pub Bun sourced from Portland French Bakery. Oh Mama! My Salad was also a cut above the norm. It had Romaine Lettuce, Cucumbers, Julienned Carrots, Red Onion, Red Cabbage, Baby Tomatoes and Garbanzo Beans with a good Honey Mustard Dressing on the side.

This Burger was so good; I may never make it past the Burger section of the menu. I have mixed emotions about that.

Our server, though new to the task, was very attentive and did a first rate job.
