for $8 you get what you get for a Salem Improv team. Â BLAH bland and nothing too funny. Â 4 people on stage and ALL politically correct. Â um...we live in 2013 not in 1953 people. Â i'd suggest making it 21 and over only -- since they sell beers by the dozen to all the rowdy drunk 20-somethings anyway. Â i mean, you can't limit comedy...unless you live in Salem freaking Oregon i guess. Â GOSH! Â located in the Reed Opera House in downtown, but they announced they are moving in April...and no, i won't be following them.
Review Source:In two years the popularity of this place has increased! Good for business, bad for those of us who DONT want to be surrounded by d-bag drunk college hipsters. ::sigh::
At Any rate, two of the actors were the same as the last time--which was good since they were the funniest two last time. They were also the funniest this time.
For $9 I don't think you can get a better 1.5 hour show in Salem. Go here.
My only complaint--they spend a considerable amount of time explaining how each scene works before doing the scene. I wish they would speed that up, or skip it entirely, and just act.
Oh yeah--$4 beers onsite. $4?!?!?!?!?! Wowza.
These guys are awesomely funny. The show is "family friendly" but still entertaining, with lots of audience participation. The place can get packed fast, but you can usually find a spot even if you get there at 7:30. They offer student tickets for only $6 with student ID, making them super affordable. Excellent for date nights. I go every 2-3 months and always have a great time!
