The Shack Bar & Grill

They have the best food in a bar that I have found.  Lunch specials rock!!!

This review is for cocktails, no food.

The drinks were good, very quick and friendly service. I love what they have done with the patio. It's fantastic and the whole place has been cleaned up. Looks great. My husband and I have gone on two seperate occasions for drinks. On both occasions the music was so loud that it was impossble to have a conversation. We came back the second time to give it another shot and this time inbetween the karaokee, they played  music turned up on full volume... it was too loud. We ended up leaving.

Owners and KJ's, please turn your sound system down.

My brother is almost as big a good quality Burger addict as I am. Today I steered him here to check out one of The Shack's amazing Hamburgers.

It's a dive bar in the greatest American dive bar tradition. Hearty food, cold Beer on tap and great folks.

Kelly opted for the Barbeque Burger, I had been going on about for weeks, with Onion Rings as his side. I warned him he would need a knife and fork and a stack of napkins. He did. He was dazzled, as I knew he would be.He said his Onion Rings were also excellent. (I have only his word for this, as he didn't offer one to his favorite brother!) I blew my Burger and Fry quota for the week at Peach Tree Grill at Copper Hill on Wednesday, so I tried their Reuben with a huge, crisp Garden Salad with Honey Mustard. It was a good Reuben and my construction instructions were closely followed. But it wasn't quite good enough to make my "Best Reubens in the Valley" guide. I really wanted it to make the cut because I really like this place.

Our server, Erin, was a joy and Kelly left a generous token of our appreciation on the table as we left.

I still haven't made it in on their Prime Rib night, but it's pretty amazing by all accounts. I'll get to it. Stay tuned more to come.
