At the suggestion of an on-line acquaintance, SWMBO and I wanted to try the Vietnamese food in this unlikely venue. We walked in and when our eyes adjusted to the dim light, we found ourselves in a delightfully divey bar & grill. Here are a couple of hints as to its ambiance: duct tape mending the separations in the indoor-outdoor carpet, a folded coaster wedged under one of our table legs (not sure if the floor is uneven or one of the legs was short), a couple of noontime matron patrons, who were enjoying drinks that were not their first of the morning. Well, you get it. We ordered Bun Xao Ga (Stir fried Vermicelli with Chicken and Vegetables) and Goi Cuon (Rice Paper wrapped Chicken, Pork, Vermicelli and Vegetables with Peanut dipping Sauce). I don't know if there are regional differences in Vietnamese dishes, but these were unlike any I have had before. They were good but the Chicken in the Noodle dish was a bit past its prime. Our server, Candy, did a good job. All in all, we enjoyed it.
