My girlfriends distant family rented out the restaurant for Thanksgiving '11. The drink selection was average for the environment (Miller, Heineken, Jack Daniels, Cheap Flavored Brandy...) Nothing worth ordering. The building itself is very dark come sunset, and the fake fireplace was just tacky.
The food they prepared was average Thanksgiving dishes; turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, creamed onions, nothing new or exciting, but still enjoyable. The dessert selection was equally average, apple pie, pecan pie, and cherry and blueberry cobbler.
I really can't comment on the main menu, but this review was for the bar and environment.
Overall, if you're looking for a small, old, place to have a few mass-produced drinks with friends and not care about the place, this would be it. Otherwise, I would travel the distance to somewhere else.
I can't stress enough - this review is for the LOUNGE - which is effectively a bar with a few tables.
This place is as casual as it can get - it's a good place for a cold beer and a pretty solid hand rolled burger. Â It is no frills - really a place to go with the guys - or even just to drink a beer in peace and be left alone. Â
There are TV's to catch a game as well.
