Cafe Intermezzo

If you love cake and coffee drinks, you'll love Cafe Intermezzo. There's never a shortage of a selection of cakes. Out of about 10-15 visits here, the service has always been very friendly but slooooooow. It's the cakes, coffee drinks, and fruit sorbets that keep me coming back. The ambiance is good for a date night or to catch up with friends. The late night hours are also a plus.

Was expecting the clouds to part and angels to come down and dance in my mouth as I ate dessert based on the reviews here.  Wasn't super impressed, but maybe my expectations were too high.  Husband and I got the Bailey's cheescake.  Tasted like plain cheesecake to me.  With chocolate on top.  That was disappointing.  And at almost $9 for a single (not very big) slice, I was expecting to at least think it was great, if not excellent. It was even a little melty, which was weird because it really wasn't hot out when we went, we sat inside, and the cheesecake was in a cooler before.

The ambiance is very nice.  I think I'd like to be taken here on a first date for drinks and dessert if I was single.  But for the most part I'd rather head to Cheesecake Factory for some seriously awesome cheesecake.  Unless they show up on ScoutMob again, we probably won't be back.

The decor reminds you of a cafe you would see in Europe. Very sexy decor and lighting. (The owner is from Europe I believe)
The customer service is EXCELLENT! I usually sit at the bar and all of the bartenders have amazing attitudes andd customer service skills.
My favorite thing to get is the Chicken Duxelle Crepe in sun-dried tomato batter - a m a z i n g  !
They have a huge variety of beverages - every kind of tea, coffee, cocktail, wine and alcohol.
The dessert case has just about the same variety as the beverages.
The ONLY reason they aren't getting a 5 star rating from me is because the bathrooms always seem to have paper towels all over the floor. Other than that it is a great restaurant for VERY reasonable prices.
