Great service and excellent food!
The food comes out extremely fast and perfectly prepared...every time! Â I've had their breakfast items and burgers (El Diablo) & would highly recommend both. Â The one thing that sticks out for me, being a father of two young children, is how they acknowledge the kids with a big smile & give them crayons and things to keep em happy.
AWESOME place for breakfast. Good, fast, clean & the staff has become family over the years. You can always tell a place by how long the staff has been around. We have been going for last 9 years & same great people. I LOVE the food.  Everything home made & fresh. Best potato salad  cream of chicken lemon soup is unreal. Prices are fantastic. My favorite place for breakfast, lunch or dinner
Review Source:Authentic greek diner in the tiny downtown area of CL. Â Staff is friendly and seems to know most of their customers. Â Soup is home made and delicious - do not miss the Chicken Azteca. Â Diner is small and clean, staff is attentive and prices are good. Â Menu is a mishmash of a little bit of everything as one would expect from any self respecting greek owned diner. Â No complaints, we will return.
Review Source:What a Diner should be all ways good and consistent, every town should have a Cafe Olympic but great local treasures are getting harder and harder to find. We didn't realize how much we loved it until we moved away, and now we miss it allot. Love the Pancakes and they have the best sausage anywhere. There is something special about a local place like this and I hope the neighborhood appreciates it.
Review Source:Here it is. The Great American Diner. You really can't find a place better than this. Sometimes you come across a classic diner and it has that diner feel, you look at the menu and it has the diner food you were looking for but you get your food and it tastes terrible! NOT HERE! You get it all at Cafe Olympic. Great atmosphere, great staff, excellent menu and the food is outstanding. The staff is great here, whether you are a regular here or your first time..your waitress will make you feel at home and Chris (the owner) is usually there and will stop by your table to say hi. If you are planning on going on a weekend morning, be prepared to wait. There is a reason so many people come here for breakfast, and the same goes for why so many people wait for a table. Don't give up waiting and go somewhere else. You won't get what you were looking for there. Try some pancakes, a belgium waffle or some biscuits and gravy. Best gravy I have been able to find at any restaurant! For lunch, try a salad. The Chicken Chop Salad is amazing and you will probably have some left over, big portions for a good price. Their soups are made fresh every day. Monday is Cheddar Broccoli, AMAZING. You really can't go wrong with anything here, if you don't like it try something else next time. Sooner or later you will find your favourite dish at Cafe Olympic and the staff will know it too! Â Just a reminder, they do not accept credit or debit cards. This keeps prices lower. There is an ATM on premise.
Review Source:It is a diner and I review it as such. I don't compare it to the great sushi place nearby. That's stupid. Great attentive service, food was super quick and tasty. I didn't eat too much because it was all good.
It was half full (see my optimism?) which may have been why it was so quick. Not sure. I came from the metra train which is nearby. Solid all around. Smiles leaving. Thanks C.O.
Great food ... Great service... Great location... Homemade Soup my favorite! Unbeatable prices for a great home-style meal. These guys know how to make it in the restaurant business- without cutting back on QUALITY FOOD!
Next time we will order the Chefs Salad- looked like a master piece!
Huge salads!!! Â We always order Hamburgers and crinkle fries. Service is the best! Â Try the Greek Chicken Lemon soup on Tuesdays only... Save some for me!
