We decided to go for Easter Brunch - Something my family never does. We normally do the "stay at home" thing and invite family over.

I wanted to pick a place that seemed classy - and served good quality food. I made reservations and we showed  up to try something new.

Upon walking in - the entry way was packed with people. I made a reservation, why were we in a line? After some rude looks for other people waiting, I made my way to the front of this mass of people and spoke to the hostess. She was talking to a friend about whatever they were talking about - but she was not doing her job.

I was standing there giving her this look... and was being ignored. So much so that another person that worked there asked me if I needed something. I said yes, that I had a 12:00 reservation and that we had been waiting. She apologized and began looking through the list and couldn't find my name.... wonderful.. considering I prepaid $200. Finally the hostess finished her conversation and turned back to the list of reservations and flipped a few pages finding me on one of them. She told us to please go wait over "there" and someone would be out to seat  us.

We waited some more - obviously they overbooked because we did not have a table ready. so the reservation was pointless.

We were seated and then left there.... we waited, and waited.. no drinks? no waitress? no water? waited some more...

Finally a waitress from another area happened to pass us by and I stopped her asking if we just get up and go get food or what? She mentioned that we should have had a waitress over to our table by now and she would have explained everything. She said she would send someone over immediately. Our waitress arrived, explained where all the food was, took our drink orders and brought water.

After that things went smooth as far as wait staff.

On to the food. I won't say much about the food - but it was on par with say... "Golden Corral." so for what we paid I felt a little cheated, It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. Their menu and images on the website looked much better / classier than what we actually got served. For example I was excited to see eggs Benedict on the menu. I'm sorry but a paper thin slice of Canadian bacon, a very cold and soggy English  muffin and a poached egg with hard yolk is not my idea of  a good Eggs Benedict. In fact I went back for a second one thinking that maybe I go dealt a bad one... nope - they were all the same.  Decent flavor - but they skimped on quality and it was apparent in just about everything I ate.

From the other reviews here - I felt like this would be a good choice.. My time there
obviously wasn't the same as theirs sadly. I wouldn't recommend this Easter Brunch after our visit.

They are definitely not "Redefining Banquet Elegance" as their sign states when you first pull in. Elegant was not a word that popped into my head at any stage of the game in this place.

I had my wedding reception here due to the proximity and price.  We tried to haggle for seat covers saying we would pay all upfront but they would not bend at all for us.  The prices were by far the best around but it would have been nice to be able to haggle the price a bit, if for nothing more then the feeling of winning something.  The food was amazing.  Moist and hot! Not an easy thing to do for a busy banquet hall.  The serves was spot on and they worked with us the entire way up until the wedding getting everything correct.  If you don't know what your doing like us, they make you feel very comfortable and that taks a ton of stress off.

I almost feel obligated to write a positive review, possibly slightly inflated, after having seen the 2 star rating. I've been here for two events - a friend's bridal and then baby shower. Both times, I thought the decor was nice. Picture the sheets covering and tied in bows around chairs, as these kind of places do. The fixtures throughout the building are relatively modern. When I walked in, someone asked what party I was there to attend, and she directed me to the correct room.

As far as set up, there's been punch bowls just inside the room and optional alcoholic beverages with a full bar outside the room, if that's your thing. Checking out the full service bar part wasn't particularly fitting for these afternoon events, but Mom said she recently attended a wedding that was great at this banquet hall. Since she's not a Yelper, I'll attest for her. I, actually in my most recent visit, saw a wedding ceremony happening in one of the smaller rooms while the banquet tables were set up in the large room across the hall with the hallway/bar in the middle. Seemed very comfortable if your wedding or occasion is the right size. Parking was no problem with large, private lot.

The food was good - tangy lemon rice soup, which seemed to be the same flavor as the sauce on the large chicken breast. We also got potatoes and vegetables. Most of the ladies at my table couldn't finish and also were not allowed to take leftovers home (particularly to the dismay of my friend's grandma sitting on my left). We all did our best. I ate all of my food... then we got cake and ice cream, and the waitstaff even catered someone's request of Hersey's syrup and brought us a whole bottle. The vanilla ice cream tasted like Blue Bunny brand - I did not confirm.

While I've never worked with the event management team at D'Andria's, as a guest, I would recommend the place based on my positive experiences at the hall.
