    Great food
    Good service
It's authentic Chinese food without having to go to Chinatown or uptown

This place gets better every time!

I just picked up dinner here last night.  I was able to take a look at the new dining room that is near completion...it is very nice!

After telling the owner that I found and review their restaurant on Yelp, they went on to tell me all the exciting plans for the new dining area and the expansions to their menu. I had a nice conversation with the two very friendly owners and the gentleman that is doing the remodel.  They said that they are going to be offering Dim Sum...I had no idea what this was, but apparently, after checking Wikipedia...it refers to a style of Chinese food prepared as small bite-sized or individual portions of food traditionally served in small steamer baskets or on small plates. Dim sum is also well known for the unique way it is served in some restaurants, wherein fully cooked and ready-to-serve dim sum dishes are carted around the restaurant for customers to choose their orders while seated at their tables.

The dining area has very nice seating (grey with stainless steel chairs and booths), that were still protected in syranwrap like stuff, and they have a two large circle tables in the front that seat anywhere from 8-10 people each.  There is a nice flat screen TV in one of the corners and all the extra detail that they have put into everything looks topnotch!  They were even very proud of how nicely finished the bathrooms were and said that having a clean bathroom is important..."Cleanliness is next to Godliness!"  They have some really neat artwork that was imported from the city in China that they are from.

I was told that they get a lot of their inspiration from their homeland (some town in China) and Chicago's Chinatown.  They are also going to be offering some new Duck dishes...she mentioned some sort of pulled duck slider like items.  Sounded good.

Now, as far as the food, I have tried a few new things on the menu recently.  I have fallen in love with the Yu Shiang Style Chicken.  It's something that I have never seen on another Chinese menu before and it is now one of my go-to's!  It has peppers, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, mushrooms and white onion...a little spicy and TONS of flavor!  The Beef with Broccoli and Carrots is still my wife and 2 daughter's fav, so this is always ordered.  My Father-in-law always drops in to get an order of the Egg Foo Young when he's passing by or watching the girls...he says it is the best he's ever had!  The smoothies are very good and compliment the food well.

As mentioned in other reviews, the Crab Ragoon doesn't have much filling and will leave you disappointed, so I would avoid.

They have a bunch of lunch specials that are served from 11:30-3 and all come with a pop, fried rice, egg roll and fortune cookie for about $5.50 (give or take 25 cents).

Overall, the prices are a few dollars less, per item, when compared to surrounding Chinese restaurants.  With that said, the quality does not suffer!

They said that if anyone mentions YELP, they will get something extra...so make sure to say something.

Best Chinese food in Crystal Lake.  Fast and very friendly service. We, like another customer, were fans of New Sunny and when they closed, we took chance on New Peking. So glad we did. The only bad thing I can say is that I've had better egg rolls. Egg Foo Young, fried rice, sweet n sour chicken is delicious.  Very very friendly service.
