Great yam fries! And a nice selection of sandwiches. The atmosphere is also terrific. Highly recommend for a casual meal.

We recently tried Calhoun Street with a Livingsocial deal.  The restaurant is cozy and comfortable, and we will definitely return!  They have a unique draft beer list and an extensive bottled beer list.  We had the beanand cheese dip for an appetizer, which was delicious and exactly what we expected it would be!  It came with thicker pita-like chips which were also delicious!  The salads were just ok- tasted like something we would make at home.  Their sandwich/burger selection is good, but not very many vegetarian options (could have gotten veggie burger or veggie wrap).  They also had a fish sandwich (which I did get).  The pretzel buns is soooo delicious!  I will delinitely get that again!  We did not get dessert.  Like previous reviews, the building is really well-kept, and very beautiful!  All in all, we enjoyed the meal, and will try it again!

Fantastic comforting atmosphere (not too much kitsch), excruciatingly slow service, and fantastic sandwiches and yam fries. It all evens out to a 3 out of 5 in my book.

As a group we had two orders of Yam Fries, a toasted Roast Beef Sandwich, a Turkey Wheat Wrap, a Chicken Sandwich and a Perfectly cooked Hamburger with curly fries.

Everything was very good, the only downside was that we were headed out towards a Tin Caps game, and had to wait almost an hour after ordering for our sandwiches. Couple that with about one water refill per person while we were there, and an inattentive waitress, and this place goes back down to "just fine".

I'll be back, I was actually pretty disappointed by this place. From the rave reviews that the numerous personal recommendations, we were hoping for a lot more.

Nothing real special.  The menu is rather simplistic, featuring a few sandwiches salads, and a couple soups.  On our particular visit, I ordered a veggie burger (I was informed it was not made in house) and a cup of vegetable beef soup.  The sandwich was built on a pretzel bun, which added an interesting yet delicious twist on my prefabricated veggie burger.  The vegetable beef soup was pretty good.  My wife ordered the other soup featured for the evening, broccoli cheese.  She mentioned that it tasted a bit on the sour side.   All in all, our visit was okay.  The food was mediocre but our service was better than what you might find in high end establishments.  If I was in the right mood, I'd probably come back and try something
    else on the menu.

Hats off to the owners of the Three C's. They got the concept right.
Archie Bunker would love this place.
A working class neighborhood bar, with average beer and a few high end priced brands for paydays.
The food has a similar emphasis. Not on the level of Club Soda, or even Eddie Mores but well prepared with large portions.
It fits the neighborhood area. More emphasis placed on filling you up than pleasing your palette.

I don't understand why someone would complain about anything here. The staff does like to watch the T.V.  (And out guess the game show contestants). Isn't that part of what draws people to this bar?

The C-3 (Soups, Salads, and Sandwiches) was a furniture store before it closed. And then was converted into a bar. I believe it was the same contractor (interior decorator)? That has been updating a lot of these kinds of businesses in the Fort Wayne area. They appear to be using the same (shake and bake) methods for all the interiors.
And in the process: Creating a new business out of an older abandon building.

Note: There is a (Happy and Gay) disco attached along the backside of this building. You should know this in case you decide to park at night, in one of the (small tight) parking spaces on the left hand side of the building.
It does fit the neighborhood though.

CS-3's has been trying to kill themselves for a long time. I've eaten here since they first opened and have continued to be steadily disappointed over and over. There are slight hints of brilliance, the reason I continue to occasionally return, but am again disappointed. The only feature that truly set them apart from all other Fort Wayne fair, their yam fries with a homemade dipping sauce has been replaced by run of the mill sweet potato fries. After ordering the yam fries and being brought sweet potato fires that were cut too thin and thus burnt I began to loose hope. Then on my next visit I thought maybe I had misjudged the place based on their average subs so I decided to try a soup without the word chili in the title. The vegetable soup was possibly the wost thing I have ever had, not only were all the vegetables out of a can, a canned soup would have been better. There are undoubtedly hints of greatness at CS3'S like their pretzel buns for their burgers or their potato salad BLT but more often than not they disappoint over and over again......I miss the early days

CS3 is an absolutely awesome place to hang out with friends and the food is amazing.  Donna, the owner, does a great job bringing in national shows!

I am a weekly visitor of CS3 and will be til the cows come home. The name speaks for its menu quite simply: there are plenty of soups, salads, and sandwiches. I have several favorites including the Italian Toasted Sub- mm giardanare. They feature a cupcake of the week, with delightful different flavors. Root Beer Float, Creamscicle, Chocolate Peanut Butter, no two flavors repeat for a super long time. Or so they tell me. Another rarity that I love about CS3 is they have Diet Dr. Pepper on fountain. Game, Set, Match.
The service is super friendly, and the atmosphere is great. I see a lot of business professionals there- I wonder if they know that Babylon is attached out back?
