They have a great early bird special. Â Most of the food is decent for the price. Â We have been there a few times. Â Stay away from the Prime Rib had it twice and both times it wasn't very good borderline bad. Manager felt bad and gave us a 15% off coupon for our next visit. (why not just take it off the bill or buy us desert?) There is a nice amusement park, go carts some rides, batting cages and mini golf. There is also an arcade with tickets for prizes.
I will go back again just not for Prime Rib.
Bar/Restaurant with an amusement park, batting cages, and driving range.
I went in for some playoff football (J-E-T-S) and a few brews. Â We were told on our arrival that Coors Light and Coors Original (The Banquet beer-SCORE!) were on special. Â Special was indeed special- $1.75 a pint. Â I'll take that any day, all day.
After a few "specials" it was time to eat. Â We had a nacho plate, with cheese, chili, salsa, sour cream and guac. Â The nachos were very good, canned ingredients, Â but when beers are less then $2 who cares?
I had the blue cheese and bacon burger for myself. Â This was very good. Â The burger was fantastic, blue cheese was nice and tangy, bacon was crispy.
All in all a great place to grab a bite and check out the game.
Calloway's was recommended by my hotel when my husband and I were staying on the shore. Â We were looking for a sports bar to catch a game on a Saturday afternoon before a wedding, and the hotel staff said it was the best place in town. Â They were right - it was a perfect place to grab lunch, a beer, and an afternoon game. Â A group of 8 or so of us sat at the big central bar and drank some draft brews while we munched on sandwiches and salads and pizzas and watched the game. Â There are a bunch of flat screens hanging on the walls and you basically have a view of at least one TV from any seat in the house. Â
Calloway's has a huge lunch menu. Â Tons of sandwich options, burgers, thin-crust pizzas, and filling entrees. Â They have a bunch of specialty pizzas with crazy toppings - seafood lover's, Boston eggplant, Manhattan red clam, Philly cheesesteak, shrimp scampi - but I went simple and ordered one with green peppers and mushrooms and it was pretty tasty. Â The crust was thin and really crisp and the portion size was perfect for one person. Â
The bartender was extremely competent and friendly and he was telling us that Calloway's gets pretty packed on weekend nights. Â They have live music. Â And, oh yeah, there's an AMUSEMENT PARK out back. Â An amusement park. Â Attached to a bar! Â I didn't ride any of the rides, but a few of my friends went crazy after they got a few beers in 'em. Â I don't think pizza, beer, and the Free Fall or The Tornado or the Bungee Trampoline or Crazy Cube really go together all that well. Â But it would be fun to take kids there.
