been here before and the food was OK and my wife wanted to give it another shot so we ate in for dinner one night and I have to say I was impressed with the improvement of the quality of food. I had a fajita chimmi and excellent while my wife had the wet burrito and was impressed with that as well. I would say if you tried this place before and didn't like it give it another shot you just might surprise yourself
Review Source:The food here is decent, but the service is terrible. The last time we ate here, the waitress would barely give us the time of day, and when she did  ask if we needed anything, she then walked off while I was in the middle of a sentence. All I wanted was a refill on my water, nothing too hard. But she walked off when I said, "Yes, could you get me..." Rude! Unfortunately, we've had a few experiences like that here.
Review Source:We went to Cancun for dinner with friends a couple of weekends ago. We ordered margaritas, and the waiter carded three of the four of us making a point that he did not need to see our fourth amigos card - rude. The food was mediocre. Save some time and money and check out El Rodeo or La Hacienda instead.
Review Source:All Hispanic staff, but the food is not what I would consider authentic Mexican. Â Definitely Americanized cuisine. Â They do not cater to a Mexican clientele. Â This place reminded me why I prefer the hole-in-the-wall Mom-and-Pop joints for more authenticity.
This is in the heart of Castleton on 82nd Street, so I expected better food. Â
It tries to be upscale: the ambience, cleanliness and service meet my Castleton expectations. No complaint there. Â The men's room was good, no complaint there. Â And there's a nice patio out back.
They knew to bring the check to the table, they checked for refills, etc. Â
I'd give them 3 stars if they were in a lesser neighborhood.
The chips were good: thin, crispy, warm, not too oily. Â
The salsa was served in a carafe that you then pour into a little bowl. Â But the salsa disappointed. Â It was probably made fresh. There was a little bite to it, but no flavor; and very little texture, as if it were pureed in a blender too long. Â No onion or tomato chunks, no green peppers. Â I've had better salsa out of a bottle from Aldi.
The refried beans and the rice was acceptable. The beef taco was fresh, but bland. Â The enchiladas were bland, and were like something you'd get in the freezer section at the grocery, not something made to order at a restaurant.
The mole sauce was bland too.
I'll go back and try some of their more upscale or signature dishes, and ask the manager to recommend something they're proud of. Â But their basic enchiladas and tacos didn't float my boat.
We've loved Cancun since we first came to Indianapolis about 10 years ago. It was one of the first "real Mexican" restaurants we frequented, and we were hooked immediately.
There are several locations around the city in the Cancun/Cazuela's chain.
But not are related.
Aha. Caught you off guard, didn't I?
We just found out the Cancun on 82nd, the one we have been going to a while now, is NOT related to the other Cancun restaurants around the city. I know! We were surprised, too!
But we still love it. And we're still furrowing our brows because we swear the menus are the same ... or very, very, VERY similar.
My fave is still the chicken burrito or chicken quesadilla ... all rice, no beans.
And the chips are, of course, addictive. I always, always end up eating too many because I can't say no to the sauce and still-warm chips. YUMMY! I admit I've actually gotten chips and salsa to go. NOTHING BUT THE CHIPS AND SALSA.
Yes. I'm a freak.
