Well, had to give 5 for last nights dinner. Â If I had posted a previous review, it probably would have been 4. Â We've had dinner here many times & it has always been good. Â Last night we were really hungry & tired and the food totally hit the spot. Â
It was great. Â We arrived about 6 and there was a good sized crowd. Â We decided to eat in the bar (had a cozy feel). Â
--Just had sandwiches etc! but they were prepared just right. Â (like I always say "not all corp restaurants are created equal") Â Our waitress was a little new to the bar scene & couldn't answer some of our questions about the cocktails, but she did go and get some help! Â Our Ultimate long islands were excellent. Â We ordered 2 meals w/intentions of splitting everything. Â -the turkey burger w/ slaw and the prime rib french dip w/fries. Â -Turkey was not dry & I loved the avacado on it, slaw is a new version but very tasty, prime was MR & au jus not too salty, with my special request of crispy fries. Â Yum. Â Everything came exactly how we ordered it & we chowed down. Â Short of finishing we had to stop & took home for leftovers. Good night!
I could walk there from my work but have only been once before today and that wasn't during work. Â Went today with a friend right when it opened at 11. Â It wasn't busy at all and was nice and quiet so we could talk. Service was quick knowledgeable and and attentive. But it was more expensive than comparable mid-size restaurants (many menu items were $10 or higher, even at lunch). I had roast beef sandwich as special for $9 with fries. I think Arby's has better roast beef sandwiches. I could only eat half before I got to-go box. Â Friend had potato soup which was huge and she couldn't eat it all. Â It is very difficult to get to from 82nd, if coming from mall you need to turn into side street that leads to bank and strip mall and if coming from east you need to turn left at gas station light. Â Little wonder I don't go there regularly.
