Sat outside ate dinner with family of five. Loved the waterway view. Shared the Captain Poo plate with my mother the crab cakes were the best I had in a long time. Â There was REAL crab meat and taste was good. Â Shrimp, Scallops & Oysters had a nice fresh light batter fry. Husband had the club and was impressed with the amount of fresh meat. Slider appetizer plate was good. Potato chips were stale but we were so full on all the other good food we did not mind. (Humidity in NMB does damage on any chips quickly) Â Waitress, Shannon, was nice and although she was busy she tried to spend a few minutes answering our questions and being pleasant. Â There was a good acoustic guitar-playing guy singing in restaurant & music at the bar. Seemed like a fun place to kick back and enjoy the waterway and some cold beers. Â I will look them up again when I am back down south. Net time I will leave my mother and the kids at home. :) Atmosphere puts the rating up to a four star. Â DH - Pittsburgh PA.
Review Source:I usually sit outside at bar. Â Come for lunch specials. Â Staff is hit or miss. Most are nice. Â There's one girl there, the short one, who's usually not smiling at all ever. Â Doesn't seem to like people. Â I've noticed the bar outside becoming dirtier and dirtier. Â There's an obvious plumbing problems that can be seen from bars tools. Â The servers have their fingers in the cups regularly and don't see hand washing at all. Â With soap that is. Â The location allows them to become complacent not putting money and time back into this place. Â It's a shame.
Review Source:We visited this tucked away spot based on a recommendation and it was a success. The service was great Natalie is a bartender/server and has been there for years. There is picnic style seating, games and hip hop outside and live music inside. I got the tuna and it was large and delicious. We also had boiled shrimp which was local and tasty. Really fun casual spot on the water if you aren't looking for the typical touristy spot.
Review Source:This is a decent place to go have a drink by the waterway but I wouldn't give their food to my dog and the service sucks donkey balls. Â We ordered a crab dip for an appetizer and it came with stale chips that taste like they had been sitting out for a few months. Â When we complained to the bartendress she simply said "oh, yea those chips have been stale all week." Â No apology and no offer to take it off our bill. Â Bottom line is the food is bad, I mean gross bad. Â Don't waste your money here as there are plenty of other great places to go.
Review Source:What a unique place on the intercoastal waterway. Â Where else can you go to hear rap music in a large outdoor bar, step inside & hear live country music? Â Neither is my cup of tea but somehow they pull it off in a laid back relaxing atmosphere that beckons you to order another drink. Â Only ate a sandwich there, a shrimp burger, which was very good. Â A real treat as the sun is fading & you want to people watch for an hour or so and grab a bite or a drink. Â Still remember the words to the country song: Â "God is great. Â Beer is good." Â Makes me want to go hug my dog!
