A great place to hang out. $10 to smoke in their lounge is a reasonable price. In the lounge they have plenty of televisions, a dominos table, a pool table, a chess table, and a dart board.

The staff is extremely knowledgable and friendly. I'm not a cigar aficionado by any means, but their recomendations for cigars have always been accurate and helpful.

Casa Belicoso Cigar Lounge was an unexpected pleasure. Cigar selection wasn't as vast as Telford's but it was adequate.  sight issues inhabited my ability to read all the labels (or was it the dim lighting/ angle of the cigar boxes?)

the patrons are average joes, not stuffed suits. met B & D who invited me to join them in the "members only" lounge. mucho gracias! the lounge was spacious, cooled by overhead fans, had many large flatscreends showing sports.

smoke: "601 reserva limitada maduro" (8.95)
-house brand of the cigar lounge
    -very smooth, no bitterness

    ashes:
    -not much parking in front
    -friendly, courteous service
-very comfortable sofas (think i fell asleep in them)
    -a definite repeat...

I am very grateful that the guys at Casa helped my organize my recent event.  The event was a little complicated and required much coordination.  They did it with ease and I am thankful.  I highly recommend this lounge for large events.

Disappointed.  Stopped by here for the first time tonight.  I was with a friend who had brought me some very special montecristo cigars from paris that I was hoping to enjoy with him here after our dinner out.  The young heavy set employee said that we were not allowed to smoke my montecristos in the store, we could smoke some cigars from his humidor in the store or "purchase one or two cigars per person,  pay a $10 fee per person, and then smoke our cigars in the private lounge."  Quite an impression for the first visit.  The lounge was nothing special.  It seems many people like this place  but I wish he would have been kinder.  If he let us smoke our cigars I would have paid his $10 per person fee, ordered drinks, and returned to purchase cigars from him but I won't be returning now.  A little customer service and a friendly demeanor go a long way.

As a new comer to the cigar world,my experience at casa was great very knowledgable about products and what was  cooler than anything was the great additude of the staff with inviting new customers in to business.
I will return on regular basis and tell my friends of  "Casa B".
Padron what  a very good cigar as referred at Casa B

Great staff, great selection, great pricing. Cool place to lounge ...since they keep legislating our rights away! Always something cool happening...just go check it out.

This place has to be good to be honest considering it is one of the few lounges in the East Bay. Right when you walk into this place you smell greatness. Nothing is better than other peoples smoke crowding up the air. Who needs to breath in pure filtered air?  Second hand smoke at its finest.

Atmosphere: Great place to hang out with groups of friends if they are into cigars. Most girls aren't into cigars, but if you want to give a girl her first cigar take her someplace else (Danville Cigar & Wine), because this place is pretty much a mancave.

Staff: Friendly, and knowledgable. They all know what their inventory is. If you don't know what you want they will go through every cigar with you.

Inventory: Great selections. They didn't just cary the average cigars. They don't carry Davidoff, not that their cigars should be on your list. If you are in Walnut Creek drop by after a good meal, or after a few drinks.

This place is amazing. Roy immediately greeted us like old friends, shared stories of his days as a Harlem Globetrotter, and regaled us with tales of cigar trips to other countries. They have got some great cigars, fair prices and one of the best cigar lounges in the bay area. A must visit!

Went there this past weekend with some friends. As usual it's a great atmosphere and we had a great time. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They always have sports on their huge TV's. Much better alternative than some of the downtown sports bars. Great hangout for the fellas. Highly recommend

This is my favorite smoking lounge especially since it offers parking and an outdoor area with a splendid view of Mount Diablo. The well stocked Humidor and wine racks and the over stuffed leather lounge chairs all add to the ambiance of this place. The staff are welcoming, friendly and know their cigars too. Memberships are in several price ranges and some include a personal cigar storage locker. Unlike most lounges this one is big. They have the room to really host parties and events too. I suggest you stop in and see what I mean. :-)

I am a member of Fatman in Sacramento and the owner and another member decided to take a trip over to Casa Belicoso, I had not been but they had. I really like the layout of their lounge. Large shop area with seating, available drink including bottled beer and then a private lounge to enjoy as well. Being a member of Fat Man they have a reciprocle membership agreement that allowed us to enjoy their large lounge.

If you are in the area you must stop by. Great competitive pricing. Great environment and friendly staff. While I was there lots of local PD came in after duty and for me that shows its a great place.

Great selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and an awesome lounge all together.

I've going there over the past several weeks before I decided to buy into the membership.  I agree with other fellow yelpers, the membership fees could be a bit too steep, but I truly enjoy a place to hang out, shoot some pool, and have good conversation over a nice cigar.  CA is becoming more and more of a smokers' nightmare. :(.

I usually stay with the full body cigar, they have the 601 Labomba, Black Market, and some good Family Blends.

They also have free wifi, which is a plus if you're just looking to hang out and get some work done, or simply just information snaking.

Downside, they don't serve food :(, but often time, they have a food truck in their little Parking lot (stay away from the nacho)

I'm delighted that Walnut Creek has a place where I can go to smoke a cigar on a rainy or cold day. Yet, the $10 dollar fee to smoke in the club room after spending a lot on several cigars and a beer or two doesn't seem quite right. It seems that it should be included with purchase. That is the only thing that keeps me from giving this a 5 star rating.

This place is a hidden gem. Good selection on cigars at reasonable prices. The best part is that they have a really nice members area lounge. You can also pay $10 for a day pass. The customer services is beyond good too. They are really friendly and helpful. It's a really good place to get away and chill with some good friends on weekends. If I worked closer to here I would make it a regular place to go after a days of hard work in the office.

For the complainers of the 10 dollar charge in the lounge, build your own man cave & see how much it costs you. If it bothers you that much? Then sign up or go away. The last thing I wanna hear while I'm trying to relax & smoke a great cigar is some bum complaining. Now as far as the lounge is concerned? Rob & Roy have a done a great job creating an atmosphere where you can relax. This place really is a hidden gem:-)

There really is no quick way to sum this place up. You really do need to visit this place and experience it to really understand how nice this place is.

First off the staff is just absolutely stellar. I won't go on and on, but I will sum up my visit. From the moment I walked in, the difference of this shop compared to others is completely obvious. I'm new to cigars, but was not treated that way. I had questions and the owner had answers. The poor guy spent 5 minute digging for a box of cigars that he only thought he had (it wasn't even entered into their inventory!)

After spending probably about 35 minutes looking around and picking some cigars out (there was 4 of us in my group that came in). We spent what had to be 25-35 minutes just chatting with the owner. At that point the owner gave us a tour of the shop and the Rocky Patel Lounge, and explained the membership levels and fee's for the lounge.

Now to those of you who are talking smack about the price of the lounge. Name 1 bar that you can go and play pool, and smoke a cigar at.. Yeah, that's what I thought.  Heck, just to play a couple rounds of pool at some places will set you back $10. So whats the big deal here folks? Your not being forced to go in there. If you don't want to, you don't have to. But it really is worth the $ to hang out and just shoot pool alone.

I'm going to say that Casa Belicoso is my cigar shop away from home. I really like the shop and the staff. The prices there are actually a bit cheaper then the shops closer to where I live (a bit hard to believe actually, but a nice surprise).

Now, onto the rest of the shop. They have snacks, coffee, a place to sit and smoke (outside of the lounge) over in the corner. Oddly enough you don't get the feeling that you are shoved off into the corner on your own either!. There is seating outside as well. In good weather they have also done an Al Fresco setup of the lounge as well.

I would recommend this place to anyone! Stop in and say hello and look around. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Mi casa es su casa...that's the feeling I got when I first walked in here.  The vibe was easy, the staff friendly and the humidor nicely stocked.  The place is co-owned by a former Globetrotter--not sure which one but I really only knew Curly and Meadowlark Lemon and he didn't look like either.  I digress.  We had gone during a Monday Night Football event catered by some local BBQ joint.  For $25/person we scored 1 cigar, a bbq meal and 1 drink, which was a really solid deal.  The lounge was a relaxed atmosphere, dimly lit and perfect for throwing back a couple of beers, some football and cigars.  Maria D. and I were the only girls in there that night  but that's ok.  You get an honorary wee wee after a guys' night out at Casa.

    Downside:
Membership fees ($$$) and if youre not a member it will cost you $10 to smoke inside the lounge, not the establishment, just the lounge. There is a table with 4 chairs and 3 big and comfy leather chairs inside as well as outdoor seating with ashtrays where you can sit and smoke for FREE. Very limited parking and a variety of beers to choose from. Also,  no scotch (travesty or abomination?)

    Upside:
Staff is knowledgeable and friendly, cigar selection is amazing and very well kept, the lounge is gorgeous boasting elegant leather chairs, a dart board, 3 huge flat screens, a pool table (FREE to play) a dominoes set, and plenty of tables, torches, and ashtrays.

Also, be sure to go to the events. What I dislike about the $10 lounge fee and membership fees is easily made up by the events they have where you get to meet the cigar manufacturers (Rocky Patel, Pete Johnson, and Nestor Miranda to name a few)  The atmosphere is very relaxed. I enjoy the crowd and the staff very much.

Oh yea, and I believe they have a guy that cooks some amazing BBQ for Monday night football. I haven't been because I don't go to the lounge until the weekends, but I have heard stories of this man's BBQ capabilities.

Would be 5 stars if it wasn't for the $10 fee to smoke in the lounge AND if they had scotch. Delectable wines, but where is my scotch?

I just moved back to the area from SF and and so glad Rob and Roy have this place for people to hang, socialize and enjoy a good smoke.  Rob, Roy and their team are very knowledgeable and they have a great selection.  Their beer and wine selection is also very good.

Some people have complained to me that the fee for the member's lounge is ridiculous, but come on, these guys have set up a great place and this great place has a cost.  I've found it to be a very enjoyable environment to just hang and enjoy a good smoke and a beer.

In this area, this is the best place to smoke indoors!  Check them out!

My friends and I love going to Casa Belicoso. It's the gentleman's lounge we always talk about setting up in our homes but better as we don't have to deal with the lasting smell or ash. As some other reviewers have pointed out, it costs $10 to get into the lounge if you're not a member but they have a small area in the store to smoke as well. The soda, beer and wine selections pair well with the available cigars and we usually get something to drink with our cigars. The lounge has pool, dominoes, darts, and a few other games for social entertainment. There are about 3 HDTVs which usually display sporting events. Also, owners and staff, Rob, Roy, and Co., usually have some background music playing.

I'm a relatively inexperienced cigar smoker and each time I've gone into Casa Belicoso the staff has helped introduce me to something new and different that I've enjoyed. Sure, I have my favorites but none of their cigars have put me off. Furthermore, they're able to look up my past purchases and remind me of those that I've purchased when I'm craving a certain Padrón or other stick.

Great place for a smoke, a drink, and as much or as little conversation as you want.  Did you see my avatar?

If I could afford the membership fees and the time away from my family, I would join in an instant.  That being said, I have experienced the lounge on a day pass, and I thought it was great. The owners have really thought about their business plan and I think they are executing it well.

I also attended a cigar event, and it was fantastic.  These guys know how to throw a party.  Plenty of room to hang out - nothing over the top.  My wife joined me and it was a good time all around.

The cigar selection is very good.  The prices are competitive.  The same can be said for the drinks.

Ahem, my ice cubes are dry and the ashtray is full...

You got a urge to smoke a nice cigar? Then Casa Belicoso is your spot. They have a nice sized walk-in humidor with a huge selection of great cigars from Ashton, Arturo Fuente, Padron, Oliva, among many many others. They also have a ton of cigar accesories from cutters to lighters to humidors. Pretty much they got you covered on all your cigar smoking needs. Dont know what youre looking for? Rob, Roy, and Matt are all very knowledgable fellas that are more than happy to assist u in picking out a great stick!
The lounge itself is pure luxury. Big leather chairs n couches.Great ventilation. They also have  Dart boards, pool table, HDTVs, music, checkers, chess, dominos, etc. You feel thirsty? no prob they got beer n wine for you too. Now all this luxury is not free, there is a $10 charge to enter the lounge if you are not a member. But they have monthly events showcasing diff cigars with excellent deals where you buy a few sticks and they let you into the lounge for free.
If you wanna smoke without paying the lounge entry, then u can light up in the lobby or in the front patio.
When all is said n done, CASA BELICOSO is a great place to grab a smoke and a drink! i wont hesitate to come back as often as i can!

I walked in and was warmly greeted by a young gentleman named Matt. I admittedly told Matt I know nothing about cigars but was looking for a few cigars for a golf outing and an upcoming reunion. He asked me some questions to get a feel of what I  was looking for. The main thing was I didn't want anything to leave a strong after taste.

After answering his questions, he began to show me and explain to me cigars I might be interested in. The key word is EXPLAIN. He took the time to explain why I might like them. I know I asked A LOT of dumb questions, but he never made me feel stupid or gave me attitude. He simply answered my questions.

Another thing to add to Matt's credit is he showed me reasonably priced cigars, $8-$10 range. He could have easily shown me really expensive cigars that left little after taste but he didn't.

He also took the time to show me and explain the smoking lounge and its benefits. Absolutley NO PRESSURE to purchase a membership..simply showing me what the lounge looked like and all of the benefits of it.

As of right now, I highly recommend this establishment...especially for those who know nothing about cigars. You can bet I will be going back for all future cigar purchases.

I'm updating my rating on Casa Belicoso to three stars, because they have made a few changes, and it really is a very nice cigar shop. I think my original review came out to be more negative than I feel in reality.

--Belicoso, at this point, really has an amazing selection of cigars, some of them I have never heard of.
--The outside seating is much bigger and much more comfortable. Although it is in a parking lot, you have an awesome view of Mt. Diablo.
--Now you can smoke inside the retail area, without paying an extra fee.
--There are now alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available now, although you can't take alcohol outside just yet.
--The array of accessories is larger, although they tend to be on the higher end.
--It still costs $10 to use the lounge for the day, unless you have a membership. With the economy the way it is, I guess I don't really blame him...I just can't afford it if I am only smoking one cigar. It really has nothing to do with the store...it's just my own personal preference.

Great place to unwind and enjoy a cigar. The staff is friendly, knowledgable, and fun. Prices are good and the "regulars" always offer good company. Membership fees are minimal and you get a free day pass if you spend 50 bucks on cigars. I love this place!

There isn't another place in the East Bay quite like Casa Belicoso. The place is clean, professional, and clearly well-maintained. It has a great ambiance, and I love the fact that you can get a day pass to the swanky lounge for 10 bucks. I don't know much about cigars (don't ask me why I'm reviewing a cigar shop), but what I do know is that the store's owner is  knowledgeable, as well as just being a nice dude. It's a very comfortable atmosphere, and gives off just the right amount of that Mafioso sex appeal.

    Love it.

I went to Casa Belicoso for their Super Bowl party.  Phenomenal!  Great Food, cigars and brews.  What more could you ask for?

Apparently, CB has events periodically where they offer a "combo" deal - food, cigars and drinks for one price.  If they're anywhere near as good as the Super Bowl event, I'll be back.

The owner, Rob, was very hospitable and the other customers were really great folks - I will definitely return!

It's a nice place...but the cigars are overpriced and the staff cigar knowledge is poor.  My husband and I spent $150 on wine/cigars and the owner still charged us the $20 smoking fee so that we could smoke with our membership-holding friends in the lounge!  I will never go back....ok, maybe if they change their smoking fee policy.

This place is fantastic. I went here to see what they had to offer if I needed some cigars or accessories.

All their accessories ore top of the the line by Xicar, Collibri, and Boveda. Their travel cases and humidors are also top notch.

While the humidor is smaller than Telford's, the selection ranges from popular brands like Alec Bradley, Montecristo, CAO, Gurkha, etc to boutique brands you have never heard of.

Rob helped me and gave  a first class tour of the joint and the cigar selection and sold me on some amazing smokes that were in my price range for a relative newbie cigar puffer.

But as other reviewer's have mentioned, the lounge is flipping amazing. It's huge, has plenty of fans for clean air, plus wifi, TVs, darts, pool, etc. They also serve beer and wine (hopefully cognac, bourbon, and Scotch someday) and you have have unlimited passes to it for only $35 a month. I'm seriously considering it when winter rolls around so I can "work from home" there.

Nice to have a serious cigar store, lounge, and staff in the East Bay.

Casa Belicoso is a great cigar shop & lounge.

They have an excellent selection of premium cigars in their over-sized humidor.

The lounge is really what does it for me though.  It's spacious, well-lit, well-ventilated, and air conditioned.  There's plenty of luxurious seating--comfortable leather chairs & sofas, along with more conventional tables & chairs for playing board games or if you need a work surface.  Also big screen TVs and a pool table.  Check out the photos.

Speaking of work, they have free wi-fi and the place is practically deserted during the afternoons, so it's a great place to go and get some work done.  As others have noted, the lounge is not free, but it's very reasonably priced.

The owner, Rob, and the rest of the staff provide excellent service, checking up on you occasionally while you're in the lounge to see if you need anything.  They serve beer, wine, and soft drinks.

Nick says go there and relax, hang out with your buddies, or just get away from it all for a while.

This place is great if you like a good cigar from time to time and/or if you are a regular cigar smoker. The shop at Casa Belicoso offers a wide variety of cigars to choose from and they carry a lot accessories-so it's a perfect place to pick up a gift, if you are looking for one. There is a lounge there which is the thing that attracted me to this place originally-it's a lounge available for members, but you can enjoy the lounge for a nominal fee (which isn't that bad). The atmosphere is really nice-large leather couches, big leather chairs, large round tables to gather around (prefect of playing cards).  I personally like the big leather couch in the corner, it's perfect for a group of people looking to relax and play a game of Shut the Box (fun game)-that's where I hung out, the best seat in the house-you get to see everyone coming and going. There is also a pool table and large screen TVs perfect for anyone looking to catch a game. The service was great-Rob, who if I remember correctly is the owner/manager-he was great very knowledgeable and attentive. If you don't know much about cigars and want to learn I am sure he would be more than happy to help you pick out a cigar and teach you a thing or two.

    My recommendations:

Macanudo is a mild cigar-which is great if you are not a big cigar smoker or want something light-this is a little lighter than what I prefer. My personal preference is: La Joya de Nicaragua Antano which is full bodied and full flavored cigar and it is pair beautifully with Brother Thelonious, one of the beers they carry.

They have a few different options when it comes to their memberships-I think that the Belicoso Grande gives you the biggest bang for your buck. With the Grande you get: $600 in store credit for the year, a standard locker which another $600 a year and many other perks.

Great place over all-the atmosphere is great, the variety is there and the service is excellent.  I would check out their website-they have events which are pretty cool.

The closing of Tobacco Loft in Pleasant Hill left very few options for the local cigar aficionado to sit down and enjoy a good cigar. The patio at Crogan's If you like to be sneered at or La Scala were about all you could find. Your other option would be subjecting yourself to nasty traffic driving to Danville, Pleasanton or Fairfield. With the opening of Casa Belicoso this is no longer the case. The humidor is a good size and well stocked (I would be surprised if you were unable to find something you like in there), the staff is friendly and helpful. They have a good selection of accessories as well. The members lounge is the best I have seen in Alameda/Contra Costa County, it is HUGE. Two big screen TVs, high speed internet, comfy leather chairs surround many of the tables that are great for playing cards, dominoes or just sharing a meal, one corner is set up like a living room with a couch and coffee table perfect for relaxing after a long day at work. If this is not enough to tempt you, across the room is a very nice Brunswick pool table (I am even learning how to play the damned game)  They currently have nonalcoholic beverages available and I hear they will have beer and wine soon.
