We tried to go here last Tuesday for dinner. Drove by around 6pm but the OPEN sign was turned off, so we went elsewhere. Last night, we tried again around 7:15. The sign was again turned off, and the front door was locked, despite the fact that there were people inside.
The posted hours on their menu (seen on a competing site) state that they're open from 9am to 9pm, but that's twice in a row they've been closed when we tried to visit.
Rated 3 stars because yelp wouldn't let me post this without a star rating
It has now reverted BACK to Casa Maria. (Sometime in late 2011. It was "Taqueria Alonso" for a while in 2011.) Â Went here today, Feb 3, 2012. Â Nice, but not as good as I remember from before.
This restaurant is aimed at an Hispanic clientele, not gringos.
Very clean dining area. The younger lady speaks English, but apparantly not the older lady.
They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have both traditional Mexican menu items, tacos, tortas, enchiladas; Â and Salvadoran items.
