My wife and I usually go to Original Pancake House when we go out for breakfast, but recently decided to give this place a whirl and I'm glad we did. The food was not exceptional but it was a terrific value considering the large portion sizes. It's also worth mentioning that they are open for lunch and have a sandwich menu, and there was a small stocked bar in the back of the room which wasa  surprise.
We went on a Saturday around noon for a late breakfast (with 10-month old son in tow) and first impressions were good. They weren't very busy and the dining area is very open and sunny with large windows. Staff was very friendly.
The coffee was good. I'm not a coffee snob by any means but it was certainly better than Original Pancake House's "special" blend of decaf and regular. Our server was fantastic and checked in on us often. The food came out relatively quickly.
The quality of the food was kind of all over the place. We ordered a single scrambled egg for our son which had little to no flavor at all, but he enjoyed it anyway. My wife said her veggie skillet was pretty good, and I had the millenium omelette which is packed with ham and veggies and covered in their sausage gravy. I've never had an omelette covered in gravy before and I wasn't disappointed. It was awesome. The hash browns, however, were a bit bland (like the scrambled eggs) and were a little cold. And, for a place with the word "pancake" in the name, the pancakes were nothing spectacular. They broke apart when cut, although they were topped with some sort of cinnamon/sugar butter that was pretty excellent.
Overall we enjoyed our experience. It seemed like a lot of the items could have used SOME sort of seasoning, even just a little salt and pepper, but for the price and the service it was well worth it. We'll still hit up Original Pancake House as our regular breakfast spot, but I'm sure we'll mix this one in from time to time. After all, with a menu this robust, it will take several visits to try everything I'm interested in, and I'm definitely intrigued by their sandwich options.
