Opened in the 1980s, Casey's is a fine throwback to that era. Â Wednesday night is ribs night - and that's what I had. Â Great rack of ribs, good slaw and great fries. Â A bargain at $14.95. Â A bit of a dive feel to it - but that's part of the charm! Â Who knows - perhaps rustic 80s will make a comeback! Â Good and friendly service, comfort food, and a cold beer - who could ask for more?
Review Source:I've passed by this place a million times and on a whim decided to finally stop in for some drinks and apps. When we arrived the waitress seemed annoyed to have to seat me and my guest and hastily took our orders. The food took forever to come out which is insane considering all we ordered was mozzarella sticks and a Caesar salad. The mozz was clearly frozen and the salad, although impressive at first glance, was simply a huge bowl of nothing but lettuce leaves with about 5 croutons and a sprinkling of cheese.
At any other bar/restaurant it would have been happy hour time, but I was surprised to find they had no drink specials. I ordered an amaretto sour and had to send it back because the amaretto was overpowering. The replacement was made the same as the first. That's when I gave up.
I won't be back.
I guess they must be doing something right, though, because they've been around at least for as long as I've lived in the area (22 years).
Lived in Hatfield for 5 years and had not tried this place. The outside didnt really appeal and I thought it was just a bar. After seeing the reviews at Yelp, I gave it a try.
The food was fresh as was the bread for the cheese steak ordered. The meat was juicy, not dry as in other places. It had american cheese, wish it would have been whiz instead. Fries ordered were awesome.
Inside needs a makeover but will be back as other items need to be tried.
Tried it for the first time the other night. The French onion soup and the pasta fagoli was good. Beer selection was pretty good. I had the roast beef sandwich, which was really good. The beau had the cheddar smash burger, which he really loved because they used a grill instead of a griddle. Fries were not bad; they're like the oreida fries. Overall, good pub food.
Review Source:Ordered a burger cooked medium, came out medium rare. It was okay, I don't mind it being a little more pink then usual. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and the service was very good. Â
Next time we sat at a booth and I ordered fried fish and fries, very bland, no flavor. We had to wait for a second round of drinks because the waitress was too busy eating her own dinner to help us.
I'll definitely try Casey's again, because everyone seems to think the food is so great, but so far I haven't been impressed
Excellent food. Â Excellent dessert. Â Take a seat at the bar with the regulars, or have a seat at one of the booths, and enjoy. Â The staff is terrific, and the apple pie alamode is even better. Â Who would guess that the apple pie alamode at a saloon would be so good. Â The burgers, ribs, cheesesteaks, and stakes are all amazing as well. Â Casey's gets pretty full
Review Source:Just got back from dinner at Casey's. Had the BBQ Burger, Seasoned Fries with CZ and hot tea because I'm getting over being sick from SXSW. Â The food was definitely good! Â The burgers are backyard style burgers complete with grill marks, which makes for a good bite. Â Family style restaurant, with good service and really fair priced. Â Definitely will return.
