Location - great, atmosphere -good, service -pretty good, menu items looked good, but in reality...wasn't that good.

The bread and salad were very good.  I ordered the weekday lunch special which was an Asian-style taco dish and then i ordered a chicken bowl dish as well. I think the problem is that these dishes sounded good, but the dishes I had was submerged in sweet Asian sauces and that took away from the dish.  In fact, both dishes were not good at all.

Not in a rush to come back again.....

We found ourselves at this restaurant after plans fell through on another spot.  We walked in during lunch and were a little concerned that only two other tables were seated.  The atmosphere was very nice.  A large open dining room with a huge floor to ceiling fireplace burning.  One wall was covered with a wine rack and everything was tastefully decorated.

The good:  Grainy, seedy bread with olive tapenade brought out to the table to start.

Buffalo burger: great flavor, good size, perfectly cooked and seasoned with a side of the most delicious crispy, small fries.

They brought a member of a party a free slice of key lime pie with coconut macadamia crust for his birthday.

The prices were reasonable as 7 of us ate for $100 with some people getting tea, coffee and desserts.

The not so good:  Apple salad:  This salad was promising with apples, grapes, mixed greens, candied walnuts and blue cheese, but it came out so overly doused in salad dressing that I couldn't really distinguish any flavors.

Apparently this place really thrives at dinner and hosts a lot of events and private parties in a separate dining room.  It did seem like the kind of place that you might want to come for a special dinner.  Maybe lunch just hasn't taken off yet.

One of our favorite places for business lunches and dinners.  Upscale, relaxed atmosphere with professional and attentive staff, nice jazz in the background.  A good selection of wines and cocktails, both American and foreign (French, Italian, South American).  The flatbread appetizers and homemade olive tapenades are outstanding.  The steaks are always very good---cooked to order.  I usually have the ribeye or filet.  The tuna sashimi is also a standout.  It is usually busy, the sign of a successful restaurant.

Hubby and I had looked forward to dining here for a while and I hate to say it - we were underwhelmed.  The duck flatbread appetizer, was the only exception. It was the only bite that induced that appreciative "yum," from either of us. The Lobster Mac & Cheese was just good. The cheese was not very flavorful (or plentiful), so the whole dish was a little bland.. Char Grilled Dry Aged Rib Eye Steak was ok, a little tough, but the butter topping made it much more interesting. We were seated in the bar area, which was not much for ambiance.
We both had a fine experience, but feel we had the best Catablu can offer and aren't compelled to visit again. For the money we spent, I wish we would have driven the extra distance to Joseph Decuis (Roanoke) or Marko's on 2nd (Decatur) for something truly extraordinary.

This is one of the best restaurants in Fort Wayne. This is the new location in Coventry, after closing the downtown theater location. The food is outstanding, seasonal and fresh and can be made to order to accomodate any diet. The chef was happy to prepare a gluten free meal, as well as modifying a couple menu items to be vegetarian. For dessert, the chef created a special non menu item on request, made with seasonal fruits and berries, topped with candied walnuts and pomegranate sauce. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is very social, including a nice bar area on one side for having a drink before dinner.
