Great place to get together with friends. My motto about this restaurant is "if you don't like it, it's your own fault because you make it yourself!" My strategy with the various sauces and flavored water is to get whatever sauces I like and put them all together. I just get a bit of everything that looks appealing. I used to get my meal wrapped in mu-shu pancakes all the time but I stopped doing that because I was always the last one to get my food. I think there is something for everyone but I know people who don't like it mostly because they don't enjoy vegetables. You can also try this place for breakfast in the morning on the weekends. The roti prata bread is great with dinner or with cinnamon for breakfast!
Review Source:I LOVE Flat Top! I have a friend from out of town who insists we got there every time she visits.
The food is great. You have so many options that there's something for everyone. Start with rice or noodles, then add fresh veggies. They offer seasonal items so the selections never get stale. Create your own sauce from a pretty wide variety of choices. When you get to adding the meat, I highly suggest the sausage. The pork and chicken are good too, but the beef is better some days than others. Leave your bowl on the counter to be stir-fried. Don't forget the extras. There are little plastic stir-sticks you can add to your bowl to request extras. I suggest the blue one gets you a very yummy piece of roti bread.
The flavored teas and lemonades are fantastic, and so are the mixed drinks, even if a little pricey.
My only complaint is that they often don't seat folks even when there are plenty of tables available. My guess is that they do this to keep the line down at the grill, but its very frustrating to see open tables and continue to wait. As anywhere else worth going to in Fort Wayne Plant to wait 30-50 minutes if you go on a Friday or Saturday evening.
