Pretty good for a chain restaurant. It's always packed on the weekends so expect a wait unless you find an open seat at the bar. The bartenders have always been pretty cool and upbeat, sometimes the servers can be hit or miss. I like the re-branding of Smokey Bones, you don't need TV's in the dining room, try making conversation with your date or family. I know it's hard. I don't really like that they got rid of the tubes of beer. What the crap, those things are awesome and novelty. I do love that they serve ice cold beer. My favorite dish is the buffalo chicken sandwich sans the bun. Oh and they have a loyalty card...each purchase earns points and points turn into gift cards.
Review Source:We went to this place for my birthday dinner last Saturday evening (4/14/12). Â We, too, missed all the flat screen TVs in the main dining area!
I had the pulled pork with potato salad and fire-roasted corn sides. Â I was very happy with the dinner. Â The spicy bbq sauce was also very tasty.
My wife had the "Create Your Own Combo" of BBQ chicken breast along with pulled pork, with BBQ baked beans and cole slaw. Â She didn't like any of it. Â The chicken "breast" was a piece of pressed chicken which wasn't really barbecued, the beans "sucked", and the sauce she tried (the vinegary one) was "bad". Â She DID like the pulled pork, however.
Overall, not a place we're coming back to anytime soon.
