We were looking for a quiet place to get some wine and apps and we discovered the Cellar Gate. Â It's so cozy inside and all the tables and chairs are different and vintage-looking. Â There were several bottles of wine open to buy by the glass, or you choose your bottle off the shelves, and they serve it to you. Â The servers gladly helped us choose a wine of our liking. Â If you don't drink the whole bottle, they will cap it for you to take home. Â We had the homemade butternut squash soup, which was so good. Â The flatbread was good also. Â Ask for their desserts of the night. Â We had something chocolate and loved it.
Review Source:Went there on a Wed. night. Â Ambience is lovely. Â Service is painfully slow. Â The restaurant was not crowded. Â Took 50 minutes to get a cold cheese plate and a serving of hummus. Â The server was sipping a big glass of wine and not paying great attention to customers. Â It might be a lovely place to wile away a long evening but not a nice place to actually eat.
Review Source:Quirky little wineshop/ lounge which can serve as the perfect place for a long overdue catch up with a special friend as you share a bottle in the back vintage parlor. The time will just slip away. Whatever you don't finish of your bottle, you can take home!
The front area features wine tastings. The outdoor patio appears to more than double the space during good weather, with live performances.
